Yeah the Battle System is based on Dragon Warrior 1 but with things like Limit Breaks and Summons from Final Fantasy.

Played it, did some runs. The OST is nice, especially the battle theme. Got some "A Link to the Past" vibes from it. Really old RPGs/RPGs that try to mimic an old style are not really my type as I like a bit modern RPGs, but the game overall is pretty nice.
