Dragon Quest games ported to Switch 2!

I wish dragon quest swords the masked queen and the tower of mirrors was ported to Switch 2 and I hope it will happen eventully since I never got chance to fully enjoy game sadly.
I hope DS games get ported to Switch games or we get chance to play it on Switch 2 through Nintendo Switch Online since I would like to play Dragon Quest for DS on Switch 2.
I hope we get chance to play dragon quest journey of the cursed king and Dragon Quest VII: Fragments of the Forgotten Past on Switch 2 as well.

Emulating motion control games like DQ Swords doesn't sound ideal.

I have tried emulate DQ Swords using PS4 controll but it didn`t work very well sadly, I have not tried with Switch Pro controll

Just use a wiimote. You may need to buy some hardware but it's a way better purchase than a Switch 2.

I have a Bluetooth dongle + an USB sensor bar for that.


As for the topic I wish we got the Rocket Slime games ported to the west...

there’s a few methods of getting the Wii’s motion controls working on dolphin (after market sensor bars & also a method involving candles??)
the 3DS titles I’d say are the hardest to get working if you dont have the actual hardware, mostly due to the hit or miss nature of citra/azahar currently.

i would learn switch 2 emulation for a dragon quest IX remake tho

didnt know lime3d was a thing! ive only had experience trying to get DQM2 & joker 3 running on citra and neither could reach above like 10fps. will have to see how lime3d reacts to them
also yeah i take back what i said about the candle trick for dolphin now that im reading thru that linked thread, i didnt figure that the candles actually had to be lit lol trying to balance to of them on top of a monitor sounds

& square prolly could make a pc port i forgot they did that

Hopefully III did well as do I-II later this year. I wouldn't mind seeing more modern ports/remakes of DQ games.
