DQ5 SNES 4 Party Member HACK

Hello,

Has anyone managed to get this hack to work?

I tried to patch it on my own but once I go pass the main screen or something, it hangs. It has been many months and I still couldn't get it to work. The author also isn't responding.

I think I followed the instructions correctly. Thus checking if anyone has any luck.

I can get it to boot under BSNES, MESEN and SNES9x using retroarch on my s24 ultra, however the game crashes after name entry with the sound of a door opening ingame. pretty sure I patched it correctly. Used my on hand copy and grabbed a new rom and patched it just to make sure.

Yes yes, that door opening sound and then it hung.

I also used SNES9X, the standalone one.

Looking out for anyone with better luck.

I wish i had the know how to translate the game.

I haven't filddled with all the compatibility settings. There might be a math hack or somethings that the game relies on to run correctly.
