In October 29, 2010 Nintendo released an enhanced port of the original Donkey Kong to the Wii VC to celebrate Super Mario Bros.'s 25th Anniversary. Because Donkey Kong: Complete Edition was released on the Virtual Console on Wii although it also came on the 3DS and also because it was a World/International version game for some reason the game has PAL60 despite being the only NES game to be for Europe in the VC that admits it.

Gotcha, awesome. I do seem to remember that the dump .wad file I had back in the day for the Wii's Virtual Console of this game seem to run at 60hz, despite labeled as an EU version of the game.

Guess it's the only official dump of this specialized version of Donkey Kong NES. lol!

Someone remind me... unlike other consoles/platforms for EU games around this era.

While I do love this version, it kinda bugs me how DK doesn’t move at all on the “pie” level like he does in the arcade version.

I see the same game.

The difference is that if you pass the first level of the game the next one is the cement factory (50m) instead of the stairs level (75m).

If only the Fires followed the same logic as the arcade game on the Pie Factory screen... In this game they appear on both sides of the screen regardless of Mario's position and pass over the burning barrel at will.

With the cement factory level already restored, it already feels like the definitive and complete version of this classic.

the very thing fans what was more in line verison for home. now it more a complete version of donkey kong for fans that had to be cut cement factory out dull to limts of the systen. this the one to play over the original cut one.
