If I know me, I’m going to hate until my partner gets one and a game I actually like then I’m going to be fixated and drooling on it maybe. Also I want to play animal crossing

I think that some games will be totally capable of running what they say the Switch 2 can run, but I think more likely than not a lot of titles are going to run worse than what they're advertising, especially once this system has been out for a couple years.​

I was sort of joking about all this, but I agree with you. It feels like switch games don’t age as well as older Nintendo titles do. IMO.

The Switch was always able to run their exclusives, it’s only really BoTW and SMT V (base) that were exceptions.

I'd say yes if you're not in a call with 4 friends while also sharing your game.

the switch 2 will most likely be better than switch 1
but if its worth the money that is another question i did like switch 1 and the games but the consol did cost alot it was not cheap

they say it run 120 fps i would just be happy if all game did minimum 60 fps and not 30 to 45 as the first switch
and i hope they do not have a anti tampering program that slows it down

and that you can turn of alot of the functions you do not use or want to use so it can run faster

i do not think it will run all the games in 120 fps as the hardware says but i think it will run the games alot better than the original switch

Most Switch 1 exclusives run well. Mario Odyssey, Mario Kart, Splatoon, Smash are all rock solid 60fps.

The system seems pretty decent, capable of 4K, 120fps, and does HDR. Obviously it won't do 4K and 120fps at the same time the majority of the time like with Metroid Prime 4 where you either have 4K/60fps or 1080p/120fps.

besides the upgradable purchases, most games should probably at least run smoothly since both consoles share their infrastructure

my impression is that it will work out pretty okay for a while, but the pokemon games will still run bad because gamefreak is gamefreak, and some first party titles are going to get overly ambitious and hamper own performance with things like complex mechanics and internal systems.

the system is pretty well spec'd, because nintendo was a viable platform for multiplatform releases for the first time with the switch and they've seen dollar signs. so they want more of those to be able to make it over, that's really what the built in supersampling is for. it WILL fall off before they release the next one though, this is nintendo we're talking about. i think people were a bit overhyped with what they thought this thing will actually be able to run before the reveal, but we'll have to wait and see when people get their hands on this thing.

i will purchase one as soon as i can and keep it in my closet until they break it open. you're smoking kentucky fried crack if you think i'm paying 80 bucks for carts that don't even have the game on them.

Here's what I think, cloud gaming is better than it was and since this was an option on the current switch you will see it in the new one for sure, and as any other Nintendo device this is not their final form I think there will be an OLED and a pro model that's actually run faster, there is a reason why some games are coming in 2026 with no accurate date optimizing a big game like that specially with good servers for multiplayer is not easy, I just wish if Nintendo took their UI more serious and made the switch more flexible, but I know it's a security measure, if people hacked it quick enough they will overclock it, and you can see how fast it can really go which I think is not bad at all, altho the problem is the battery and that's the sole reason we didn't get an OLED, I don't think that shit will stand 2 hours on hand held mode but its descent when in docked

I believe so. Considering what Nintendo has been cooking since the Splatoon 3 Side Order direct, I have a feeling that they're at least going to make their games run better. If not, I'm going to still enjoy the games nonetheless because what's more important to me is the quality of the experience itself, not how it runs.
