do you like sleeping?

a well meaning accomplice once asked me why I don't like sleeping.

it appears not to be obvious to most that the machinations of the mind are the biggest source of anguish one can endure, and sleeping puts one at a particular disadvantage against the mind, unshielded from its psychological warfare

every night as my dreams spiral into nonsense a staggering pain engulfs my mind and I cry

and I scream and I yell and I beg for forgiveness as the phantasy naturally reflects the inherent agony of my existence

and as if in a sick, cruel twist, the phantasy expounds warmth and embraces ego, and I scream and I yell and I cry in joy, and I embrace those whom I love and I tell them I'll never let go again

years of pain suddenly no more, tears drown bitterness and homogenize relief

yet soon enough the inevitability of reality sets in

and as I open my eyes the hell whence I came from is evident in the absence of a mirage constructed by the subconscious in a futile attempt to lessen the pain of a life of inadequacy

my eyes are dry. I never cried any tears. there has been no relief. but now I need to eat something and take the pills or I'll get sick again so I just forget about it and move on.

I hate sleeping it´s waste of time I could use to game or watch anime or read. I mean according to stats you sleep away about half your life and seeing how short life if sleeping half of it away seams rather stupid.

My younger self would probably say, yeah sleeping is stupid and whatever. Now that I'm older and managing so many things at once, I am grateful. Although my dreams are 50% nightmares, at least I can actually feel relaxed and calm for even a few hours. A good time to unwind in a newly accelerated life I'm living in, that's just my opinion tho. I get what y'all mean

You’ve put into words something most people don’t even consider. Dreams can be both comfort and torment. Personally, I do like sleeping, but I can see how it’s complicated.

I have no specific feeling about the activity of sleeping,
yet I do prefer it over suffering trough nausea and sickness that i often tend to have which hopefully won't come back for a while so I always hope that I fall asleep quickly to endure it better.

I overall have often quite the terrible (short) sleep and I fall asleep quite hard
I go to bed about 20:00 Something Pm because of my health and probably fall asleep at 22:00 or 23:00 Pm I guess and for a couple of days now I wake up at 2 to 3 Am just to fall asleep again and wake up again at 5 Am often feeling not that good dried up or feeling nausea.

How can you sleep when you are dead...do phones sleep does furniture sleep ? no... I thought so.
You must be alive to be asleep you don't go up to a corpse and say be silent they are sleeping when they are rotting in front of you.

wow now I did a actually moment

its just I am tired of the phrase you can sleep when you are dead well when you stop sleeping you would get mad as your mind would not be able to handle it anymore after a while.
