HI ,
Do you know any good PS3 games in 60 fps and good

I think that the interest in the PS3 has decreased because most of the games have been re-released on PC.

so I need help to get back into this console that I played so much

Just be aware that some games from this list are better at holding 60 than others.

I only know a PS2 video game called Metal Gear Solid 3 released on PS3 too with promise of "60 FPS" but sometimes its FPS was dropped so low way more than you could experience on PS2 lololol.

John of Digital Foundry has an amazing video on this, if you want some solid direct capture examples. Some games often were 1080p and 60fps too.

Wipeout HD Fury
Literally the only game I ever miss from my PS3 days. Just reading the title here has gotten the menu music stuck in my head. Again. Thanks for that 😆

I believe Guilty Gear Xrd had a 60 FPS option, though you had to enable the "Performance" setting from the options menu. And I believe BlazBlue ran at 60 FPS by default, along with The King of Fighters XIII?

Not sure how big you are on fighting games, but those three definitely get a recommendation from me 🙌

I found the two here that also run at 60 fps on the Playstation 3: God of War 3 Remastered, The Last of Us Part 1
God of War 3 is from PS3, the remaster was released on PS4. Also, both God of War 3 and The Last of Us run at 30fps, no questions ask. Specially the latter, which struggles really hard to maintain those 30fps.

C'mon, guys. There is 0 chance a PS3 title will run 1080p60fps unless it is a remaster or a game that clearly is showing low polycount on screen, aka sport, racing or shmup games. Not even decently detailed PS4 titles run 1080p60fps.

But sticking to the op's question. Why do you need the game to run at 60fps? consoles have nothing to do with PC masterrace, and it's been a while since console games were running 30fps mainly, regardless of the generation. The first games maybe run at 60fps but from the second half of their lives they start running at 30fps because hardware gets old.

But 30fps does not mean worse, for instance, games like The Last of Us feel much better at 30fps because they are movie-like games. Running at 60fps is like watching a movie 48fps, it's something I experienced once just out of curiosity and never again, it was very awkward.

Dynasty Warriors 6 and Empires
Samurai Warriors 3

what are you on about TLOU runs at like 25 fps on ps3, and GoW3 is like 30-40

I think super star dust.
And I just got the super star dust ultra for ps4 and I think it looks worse than ps3 version, I think the ps4 versions was not made by housemarque, does anyone have the same or opposite opinion?

Without any hardware or software modifications?
Honestly, I think it's just some light fighting game.
I don't remember any, and I definitely remember that the ones mentioned above can't do it, at least not on the original PS3.
I think they're play it on PC or PS4 and just have mixed memories.

All the Ninja Gaidens & the Vanillaware games, so Dragon's Crown & Odin's Sphere Leifthrasir!
Hopefully you haven't played'em yet, because these are pretty solid games in that 60fps glory.
60fps on PS3 is underrated for sure. Just makes every game feel twice as good!

Edits: Onechanbara Z: Kagura is another action game at 60 that you add to the list, also has an english patch.

Not a chance. I've beaten both versions, 360 and PS3 and both of them run more time at ~30fps than at 60fps. 360 version holds more time at 60fps though, but I can't consider this game a 60fps game just because it runs 60fps when only the main character and one zombie are on screen. The Z2 Chaos for PS4 runs indeed at 60fps, but even that one has some slowdowns from time to time going around the 40~50fps.

Well, thanks for the confirmation. It's been a couple of years... I just recall the game being 60fps (I know these games can dip pretty bad) & heck, I even pulled up a couple of videos to confirm the 60 haha. I guess the first mission runs better than the rest of the game ::nervous-prinny

Ridge Racer 7 is the one that stands out the most to me. 60 frames-per-second and 1080p resolution. One of the best looking and performing games on the console.

Yes, but I heard that the game is not great, is that true?
