Do you have any subscriptions to play any online games?

My friend was telling me about getting charged 80$ for a PlayStation fee, which I thought was insane. I personally have only paid for switch online but haven't had it in a while.

I paid for Xbox Live back around like 2008-2011, but in 2011 I built a new PC to replace my aging 2004 build and just never got into the console gen after that.

I still have a few friends that play on console though and pay for PlayStation Network

Only Splatoon 3 once every something months, NSO is relatively cheap to the other services anyways.
(It's still a very mediocre service that shouldn't be a thing but whatever, not that I have choice)

That's rocket science of greed lol.

Game is "free" until level cap, afterwards it ask you to subscribe to unlock level cap while some game features are limited.

So once you paid the game, to keep playing the game you gotta pay every month but if you never pay for the game you can play the game without paying shit but your gameplay keeps being limited.

Never played the game so can't say if it would worth to play F2P way but I played Dragon Quest X using the same shit so can say F2P doesn't worth it, paying for it doesn't worth it further. Shit is too limited and doesn't worth money whatsoever. Just play the previous DQ and enjoy a better game by paying once lol.

No, Most online games I play are either on mobile or are a free to play game on console.

absolutely none, i pay real games or just play free mmos (that usually are just as good, like i can play PSO2 for free and that's basically the best MMO out there, in terms of free to play
if i was GOING TO spend money on a sub it'd either be PS+ or xbox gamepass.

PS+ Essential for playing Monster Hunter Wilds. All their price hike did was make me buy less games from their platform so Sony isn't getting more from me than before.

I usually have one going, and I usually feel like I get my money’s worth from them.
I pay for Gamepass mostly, though it’s on hold right now because I used that money for a month’s gametime in WoW due to the new update instead.

A long time ago (again), when I used to play on the Xbox 360, I paid for Xbox Live (Gold?). Since then, I've refused to pay for that kind of subscription. But I'm lucky: thanks to my big brother's family subscription, I have access to Nintendo Switch Online.
