Do/did your parent(s) play videogames?

My father used to play fighting game with us when we were childrens, and he kept his gaming console for us, so my first consoles were the game boy, nes and snes ::dkapproves As for my mother, she had a playstation that she bought for her little sister back in the day, but sinceher sister wasn't intersted in it, she kept it. She told me that she enjoyed dino crisis and final fantasy VII. We had a lots of games,my sister played Creaturesa lot, and for my brother it was FFVII and FFVIII. We also played Rivals Schools and Bloody Roar together. I miss these times. (Sorry for bad english, I live in France)::firgirlsmirk

Also, when an enigma in proffesor Layton, or Ace attorney is to hard for me, I ask my mother cuz she likes puzzle games ::thinking

Sadly, no. They don't even understand how games work.

Dad used to play casually back in the day, uncle was the hardcore gamer, taught me everything there is about games since I can barely walk.
I'm that uncle to my nephew, haha. But sadly, kids these days are mostly into Roblox, Minecraft or Fortnite. Not really interested in anything else than that, other than some mobile games. At least in my experience.

play new super mario bros wii with my adoptive mom is like the only good memory i have of her lol

Not really, my dad tried out Pokemon Emerald before and my ma would indulge me on my sick days home with some Mario Party, but nothing outside of that. Funnily enough, my ma did watch a lot of Naruto (she's watched the entire OG and Shippuden shows twice) and a LOOOOOOT of Candy Candy

Father Octopus was actually who got me into gaming at a young age, he used to play a lot of stuff. Baldur's Gate, Diablo 1 and 2, Street Fighter, OG Resident Evils; he played through all the original SNES Breath of Fire games while I was still a very young lad. Me, him and my brother would play rotating games every night together, usually fighting games. It started with Killer Instinct Gold, but then we went onto everything from the first two Smash Bros to Mario Party, Destroy All Monsters Melee and Kirby's Dream Course. Later on he got really into WoW for like 6 years, more than I ever was, and started doing raids and everything. He played Diablo 3 for a very long time too, which I constantly gave him grief over. He doesn't really play much of anything anymore outside of occasionally playing Black Ops 2 zombies on the PS3.

My mom casually played the usual mom stuff like Dr. Mario and Tetris, nothing serious. She probably got the most into the first Brain Age on the DS when it came out, but she'd literally just play the Sudoku in it.

None of my parents play or were really into gaming at all, except for my grandfather on my father's side of the family. When I was a kid we used to play beat em ups together all afternoon, then we'd go out to buy chips and candy, and after we came back home I'd play racing games in his PS2 until bedtime.

Thanks to him I grew up obsessed with video games and it shaped me into the person I am today.

My dad is the reason why I have access to such an extensive collection of retro games. Unfortunately, as far as I know, he only plays Overwatch now. My mom was never really into gaming, but she does enjoy puzzle games like Tetris and Puzzle Bobble.
