In your magnanimous travels, have you ever encountered a more richer and deeper source of interest and potential then the unused Guardians & Divine Beasts from Breath of the Wild?
Depending on your interest in videogame trivia, your chances of encountering these two pieces of concept art sheets may be almost a guarantee, it was all over the place in my haunts for many pieces of videogame concept art.
I digress, here are these immensely fascinating pieces:
A city inside a Divine Beast ... its effortlessly inspiring and beautiful to think about. It reminds me of those roaming areas inside a JRPG that fly across the world map.
I wonder constantly about how this would have panned out and how incredible and breath-taking it would have been to encounter this for the first time, like discovering a living wonder of the world and you might pause the game in bewilderment to rave at someone in your sheer excitement of how incredulous it is.
But, we have more:
We have the rough drafts of the four mainstays which made it into the final game, but below have more invocative designs and some that seem more touching upon the realm of folklore.
I would have adored to see the one based off the manta ray in reality, it makes me concoct an idea that they considered a whole underwater section of the map (much like the Underground that was introduced in Tears of the Kingdom) I would have loved to see it in action, even more so the environment it roamed.. Nintendo creates some very beautiful underwater segments sometimes, much like the underwater sections for Noki Bay in Super Mario Sunshine.
These are just my thoughts on these pieces, what are yours?
