I have been watching it subbed and wow the difference is night and day.

The English dub rebranding of evolution to digivolution is probably the only thing I prefer in the dub.

Everything else is vastly better in the original. We got robbed of "Butterfly" and "Braveheart".

I will assume you are american, you guys got robbed of some of the real good shit back in the day.

In Latin America we got localizations that were very faithful to the source material, to the point that i don't even see the need of watching some of them subbed cause i know the dub i got is on par.

Japanese dubs > anything else, always! Nothing can beat them.
Even though I didn't watch anime dubbed, they're probably garbage like the italian ones. That's why I'll never come back.

I would say I enjoy Yokai watch more than any of the 2. I grew up with Pokemon but after 200 years and a million games it has started to become MEH.

My biggest issue with Digimon is allot the games are not much to seek for. Sure you have some good one but honestly not enough to even make a top 5.

The anime is nice at least.
PKMN anime always sucked.

I have massive nostalgia for the Swedish dub of the Movie (which was the American version) but was also super impressed when I watched the show in Japanese for the first time.

Digimon World was really good (its my favorite game of all time) . Cyber Sleuth is better than most if not all modern pokemon games.

I have never seen Yokai Watch's anime.

I've only ever watched the dub version that aired in Canada. I always thought that part with the big devil dude fighting the angel dude in the real world was cool. It reminded me of Diablo.

This. I'm not all that interested in the tamagotchi type stuff and the games don't really seem to have anything special about them.

Digimon World would not have captivated you. Digimon's roots are tamagotchi essentially... Later games picked up on the fantastic anime that added more depth to the series.

Digimon World had a unique japanese CG aesthetic for the prerendered BGs.

Cyber Sleuth really is a JRPG at heart and a damn good one. Never played the DS digimon games or the PSP ones that were locked in Japan(got english translations that I want to try on emulation).

Digimon is actually very different than Pokemon (I like Pokemon too but not as much).

I've heard Cyber Sleuth is pretty good. It's the one I usually see recommended for newcomers to the series.

This is true. I think they tend to get associated because of the similar name and because they were released around the same time but they're pretty different from eachother. I haven't been into Pokemon for a long time but it is more familiar to me and the gameplay loop and combat system just appeals to me more.

I remember first tv series on Fox Kids with original polish dubbing when i was in the kindergarten ages ago. I loved it as kiddo but this show were eventually overshadowed by enormous boom on pokemon franchise (barely remember first movie airing in the cinemas but i still remember all children back then had full pockets of plastic tazos from junk snacks).

Interesting to hear. Ive been interested in revisiting the series out of curiosity.

Apparently the latin spanish dub used the US versions as a base since Data Squad. Also I heard Tamers' latin spanish dub sucks

That's when the americans got their shit together and stopped doing baffling changes to anime, so its fine, Frontier was the last good series, so its not like it matters either way.

Whoever told you that, is incorrect.

Since you have Butterfly and Brave Heart, I'm just gonna put Biggest Dreamer over here
