Yes, Konami was known for creative usage of game controllers and hardware stuff. For example a Konami GBA game called Boktai: The Sun Is in Your Hand uses sunlight for gameplay:

Now Konami is known for ruiner of their great IPs and "oh that pachinko company" SMH!!! lol

I actually did know that. I have one of those PS1/Saturn hybrid light guns and on PS1 it operates as a Konami Hyperblaster/Justifier, but sadly it doesn't work with Silent Hill for some reason.

I didn't even know that gun existed. I finished the game like 3 or 4 times in the past and I had a lot of fun, but never cared for the extras. I think there was a katana or something like that, but I am more classic, handgun, shotgun and rifle :)
