From Bloodborne to Gravity Rush; Ape Escape to ICO and beyond, they've played a role in some of the best... of the best! Consistently [ATTACH type="full" width="369px" size="220x119"]36287[/ATTACH] If you're of a certain age or have certain retro-interest you've come across [URL='https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sega_AM2']SEGA-AM2[/URL]. Yu Suzuki's old crew. A sizable chunck of [URL='https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sega_AM2#Games']Sega's heavy-hitter titles[/URL] come from these guys. Virtua Fighter, Daytona, Outrun. All good stuff. They still the crew in charge of Virtua Fighter, so here's hoping they keep things groovy. One can't help but worry when a company gets big or has a hit... they they'll try to hard to reproduce it.. of get mismanaged into oblivion by "seagulls". These cats aren't about that life, IMO. Consistently at the helm of or supporting some of [URL='https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Intelligent_Systems#List_of_games_developed']Nintendo's (and the medium's best works).[/URL] Consistently. Reliably. You played a Nintendo joint? You have a blast? More than likely these dude are to thank. Looking at their catalog of works, there's games on there I love that I had no idea they were involved with. They're frankly amazing. NGL, I see the "IS" logo on something, I damn-near instantly sold. [ATTACH type="full" width="374px" size="230x32"]36291[/ATTACH] Currently BandiNamco. They've had their ups and downs. I'm reaching back to around 1997-2005; Yeah they were having financial trouble, but hot-damn, were they pumping out the good stuff then. I, to this day, still can't get enough of joints like R4, Tekken 5, Soul Calibur 2, and Katamari Damacy. [ATTACH type="full" width="379px" size="220x103"]36296[/ATTACH] I could go on about [URL='https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Level-5_(company)']Level 5[/URL]... for a long time. I won't. But, I could. What a trajectory, though! Straight from their own wild imaginations ([URL='https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dark_Cloud']Dark Cloud 1[/URL] & [URL='https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dark_Chronicle']2[/URL]) straight to [URL='https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dragon_Quest_VIII']one of the most beloved Dragon Quest titles ever[/URL]. And plenty after. I feel like they should be celebrated more. More time in the spotlight. They've earned it for sure. [ATTACH type="full" width="443px" size="220x42"]36299[/ATTACH] Few studios know how to brew a tactile gaming experience like [URL='https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Insomniac_Games']Insomniac[/URL]. Spyro, for sure is a classic. But if you haven't already, go out now and play the Original Ratchet & Clank trilogy. No really, Stop reading. Go. Now. Play. Love. I like Spider-Man just fine, but I've got to be honest, I'm a little sad to see they've been relegated to effectively being a "Marvel Properties Studio" for what looks like the next decade-and-a-half. Some really creative and special people there. And a [URL='https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Insomniac_Games#Games_developed']catalog of works [/URL]that are unmatched. So, I think I've gone on enough.
