I saw another thread asking about your "perfect game that hasn't been made yet". (https://retrogametalk.com/threads/whats-your-perfect-game-that-hasnt-been-made-yet.6555/unread)
But what about a game that has everything you hate about video games all mixed into one? Maybe it has lootboxes, maybe every loading screen has an ad and you can't leave the loading screen until the ad is over even if the game is done loading? Maybe it charges you real money for every bullet shot in game, or every melee attack misses until you either grind hundreds of hours or pay a fee? Go wild!

I have no idea if this was done yet so if it was let me know!

A game with two hours of gameplay and ten hours of completely unskippable cutscenes in between mere minutes of gameplay. Half of the playable content is locked behind an additional paywall. The best equipment is only in lootboxes and the bosses are almost impossible without said equipment. You can't unlock higher skill levels without paying for it. Again, the bosses are impossible without higher level skills. An additional two hours of gameplay is available as $30 DLC and it's the only way to see the true ending and unlock post game content and new game+.

Also, the community is infested by brainwashed idiots who praise the game for being the most amazing thing ever, making it impossible to have a constructive conversation about its flaws without being dogpiled by fanboys who think that paying over $100 total for a couple hours of gameplay is peak gaming and you are just entitled. 😠

If you die once, it permanently lowers the difficulty for the rest of the play-through.
This is a dig at Megaman Zero by the way, I don't dislike that that game was hard, but I hate how it lowered the difficulty without way of increasing it if you were anything less than perfect. I'm not an super-mega-hardcore gamer, but I can "git gud" if you actually give me the fucking chance!

I see your turnip and raise you:
You just brought a piece of hell to my doorstep my friend.

70$ Entry Games with 120+ Deluxe and 1000+ DLC that still uses Ads for some reason Online-only with Lootboxes for some reason and shitty QoL with Community that's hellbent to makes everything "Positive" to the point of Toxic.

Pretty much would kills me on the spot, too bad if i see that i would ignore it completely.

Witnessing my Favorite Game turn into that though? now that's the Perfect Nightmare Game.

For me, it’s a game that takes an IP which I love that hasn’t been seen in forever (let’s take Vib-Ribbon as an example) and brings it to a new system! Neat! That’s what I WANT!

But then the catch is that it retains very little of the original IP, basically stapling it onto an entirely different idea just to sell more copies via a starving fandom. Add on an untrustworthy publisher (like Activision), a majority of game content being not only paid but locked behind online servers, and the whole project just pisses people off, sullies the reputation of the original IP, and eventually becomes a coaster when the servers shut down.

In short, Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 5 is basically my nightmare scenario, so I guess a game like that already exists.

I’m thankful that Vib has been spared from such a fate. Who could hurt such a pure and honest creature?!

An EA game, A LITEREAL pay to play game. From the starting characters blocked behind a paywall, to the loading screens with unskippable ads all over. Weapons need to be recharged after every 2 HITS.
The boss requires you to buy a skin that happens to be weak against a Specific skin only. The map needs to be unlocked after 10 hours of gameplay. The True Ending is also behind a paywall, In another CD. THAT YOU HAVE BUY AGAIN.

A Hack and Slash Character Action game where the first level has you play as a character with incredibly tight, polished, and deep gameplay, I'm talking DMC3 or NGB quality.

Afterwards, you switch to a character for the rest of the game that controls sluggishly, has barely any attacks or abilities, glitchy and buggy gameplay and hitboxes, unsatisfying attacks, not able to deal with enemies well ETC.

For me, wasted potential is more heartbreaking than no potential, so something like this would make me want to rip my hair out.

Reminds me of when MGS 2 introduced Jack and we played as him rather then Solid Snake. And Super meat boy where you can play as a Tofu(I think)

1. Common enemies that take hardly any damage, even with the strongest weapons
2. Unavoidable & unblockable attacks
3. Sluggish controls
4. Bad camera controls
5. Escort quests with slow moving NPCs that get stuck on obstacles and die easily

Raiden's not so bad, he plays as well as Snake too. I'm picturing something where you go from like DMC3 Dante to DMC2 Dante in terms of character downgrade lol.

Nah, you right, It was the sudden shift from snake to Raiden that got the players of time confused. But DMC 2 was like it got hit by a burning Truck compared to DMC 1 and later series.

A new fresh Square title that was made with an exceptional budget that:
Started with terrible cliché tropes of the fantasy genre for your main character and backstory and double down on paper thin characters that read their tropes on their names for your starting party that is killed in the first hour (oh but your best friend will come back as the dragon to the real big bad) and have a time skip after a minor epic battle against the fake big bad in the first hour.
No customization except for which button for instant awesome button mash and 2 cool moves, if you got to choose a class your character it's generic attack until you invest in the skill tree you don't have access to til the end of the first hour.

After that first hour you're given an info dump in a loading screen that cuts halfway that you never got to read it all and the opening scene opens up mid conversation that expected it you have read the screen shot and heard the first half. You're dumped in a new place, no epic earlier armor, no money except for a few potion's worth, 2 potions, 1 revive and are given a cutscene with in game models to go a far away location to the next story check point but you need to learn how to play the game. You're given a check list to check a board of side quests that teach you have to take and fulfill side quests until you get a side quest that will get you access to a mount after that quest you cannot summon the mount's services and you try crossing the plains manually til you're gatekept by monsters that stomp curb you from moving forward because they are overly high leveled to encourage you to grind and won't let you walk 2 steps without taking you to a new battle screen and take time walking to you or you waste your turn to be in swinging distance on the battlefield. Only to find out you need a mount to cross a river that you should be able to swim across but they didn't want to give you that amount of freedom because they didn't want to make a swimming and wet model variations. Did I mention you preordered it to buy it a fraction of the listed to market price only to have half a soundtrack promised, half an artbook and only in-game features that are bugged at launch that never look properly integrated with the rest of the game's art style? Oh and you haven't even gotten an chance to get a new party member until mid 3rd chapter. Where the hell is my mount?

An RPG with flawed Running option, where enemies get first turn no matter how high your AGI is, confusing Puzzles, slow walking, AOE spells that FAIL, the main gimmick being a repetitive menu searching that requires you to open three menus, the usual "Check status to see if your weapon or armor is stronger or you wasted money" thing of NES RPG'S and a gimmick final boss that will make you drop the game

This is almost what Madness: Project Nexus feels like. When you play history mode you can play with multiple great characters, there's a character creation mode that you must do missions, level up and unlock weapons and skills. You character can even fall into the ground punching the air when your level is low.
The cool thing that when you up a skill not only the thing is done better, but the animations change also, the character becomes less goofy, xD

I Don't have to.
Pretendo already did it for me.
