Games you thought deserved a sequel or another entry?

I'd like a new Punch-Out!!
Mike Tyson's Punch-Out!! is one of my favorite games, and the one on Wii was really good too!

I can live without Mike.

But I'd love to see a sequel of the Wii game with more Super Punch-Out characters added in (I know, Bear Hugger and Aran Ryan are in it but I'm talking about a bigger roster of SPO characters).

Monster Tale. No I'm not talking about Undertale, I'm talking about the Indie Game(?) on the Nintendo DS that was rumored to have a 3DS Remaster/Remake/Sequel that hasn't been done ever since. I had never played the game personally, but I had watched enough of the game for me to wish that developers didn't have games this great that could go to waste. Monster Tale is such a delightful mix of a typical mobile monster simulator and a Metroidvania but I think my only issue with it is the backtracking, and the fact that the bosses look INCREDIBLY easy

I would also love to see the good side of Dawn to Life come back to life ;D

ik there's an entry on Switch, but that one iirc is a spinoff?

I don't think it's really "dead", but man it has been already SEVEN years since the last Devil May Cry came out. I know an anime is coming, and I hope it's good, but I wish we could get something along the lines of a prequel to Dante and Vergil... maybe something called Devil May Cry 0 where we follow the story of Sparda? I just wish it could happen, it would be cool.
Seven Years!?

Epic Mickey

I know about the Rebrushed Remake, and i hope the sales allow the big cheeses to know the audience yes in fact WANTS MORE OF OSWALD

Ditto for Klonoa

Now you say it... oh ?
Honestly, even if there's a fresh team adding new ideas or gameplay elements I feel that a 2.5D game in the 2020's is hard to sell unless the budget is around an indie game.

Personally I would like to see more love for Star Fox and Metroid. Metroid isn’t dead per se but Nintendo has been dangling the Metroid Prime 4 carrot for nearly eight years. We’d love to see more from Square with Parasite Eve but where would the story go after the sequel? Third Birthday doesn’t count while some of us never saw it as a true sequel.

I got two for you.

First one is Conker, I think with how popular meta humor and pop culture jokes have become and made sort of a resurgence because of Marvel movies and such it could be quite popular, not to mention riding off a game that people have wanted a sequel to for ages.

Second one is Saints Row. SR22 was a tragedy in the idea that unlike a lot of others I really liked the game, It's goofy fun. The story was horrible though, and that's all because of Deep Silver, not Volition. Volition planned for that game to be Saints Row 2.5, which is what they called it during production. It was going to be a continuation of 2's story, most likely being about the Saints going after the one who betrayed them (don't want to spoil because 1 and 2's stories are actually pretty good) but when they showed this off to Deep Silver they told them not to release it because it would be offensive, so Volition were forced to do what they ended up releasing. Then got shutdown because of Embracer's business deal going south. I've loved all of Volition's games, even the ones people don't like. I think they were a company that was cool because of the idea that they weren't afraid to get creative and try new things, even if they didn't go well (like Agents of Mayhem.) There is a lot more to the story too that we still don't know about because some of the bigger names in the community are still under NDA and can't discuss it. But man does it really make me sad.

I'd love to see a new Klonoa game, especially after the success of the remaster.

Splatterhouse would be cool too. The filed trademarks for a Splatterhouse remaster along with the Klonoa and Katamari remasters but I guess they never got around to doing that one.

I thought the remakes were there to tell if people are interested in...

Splatterhouse as long as they don't water down the body horror aspect.

Twisted Metal, even though it never will. I don't even need a new one, just a remaster of 2012 will do :')
Well, start punching the air. They were making one, but it was live service. It was one of the 10 or so live service projects Sony just cancelled. I don't think these companies realize not every series needs to be live service. Twisted Metal holds up on it's world and characters alone. Not a single fan would want Twisted Metal with battlepasses.

Yea, it was the whole reason the show was happening. Sony just wanted to throw everything at the wall and see what atuck and while I don't view it as a particularly stellar fit I would have been excited for a live service TM purely because car combat is an entirely dead genre and has been for decades now ourside of a single release here or there.

If your goal is to make a $60-70 TM game I just struggle to understand who would buy it unless the multiplayer suite was stellar and the single player combat went back to concepts than TM:Black Harbor was gonna have like open zones and maybe on-foot segments.

Is there room for a $25-40 budget title that is primarily digital and just has the multiplayer suite, a good arcade mode and some other single player/co-op content? Maybe, but the series and genre are super niche so I understand wanting to go for a F2P live service game to make it easy for folks to wanna try it out. Sad reality is any multiplayer franchise that gets revived is gonna have that atuff shoved in, it is inevitable outside of remasters.

At least the show is good, though season 2 is likely where it ends no matter what.

Arguably the fate of most every original show on a streaming network, two seasons just seems to be where the money runs dry.
