Cropping stuff that was in a 4:3 aspect ratio to 16:9 ruins it

Sure... unless the original version was heavily cropped then it's good to have a choice between theatrical and bonus versions. Some TV series were filmed in widescreen and cropped for TV then re-released on DVD/Blu-ray with full frame, stuff like that is really cool.
I read shows like og teen titans, ben 10 and seinfeld were like that

I'll always say it but 4:3 had a better feel to me.

I just remembered that this movie was in 4:3

Even when it doesnt remove important visual info it still looks awkward
It doesnt help that the 4:3 version of DBZ is the hardest to find online nowadays

Boomers with "flatscreen" TVs. And somehow they still think they need to spend $700 on an audio receiver that they also don't know how to use.

This reminded me of a video that The Onion uploaded on YouTube parodying older people purchasing brand new Sony products who had no idea how to operate them. I would like to post the hilarious video but it’s laced with profanity.

Recently finished watching Buffy The Vampire Slayer. It had a fair amount of that. Always funny when there's a crazy fight happening and it cuts to a camera crew just chilling on the sidelines.

There probably is but very hard to find online nowadays
I think for the sake of preservation it should be obligatory...

Or having an option to cut to 4:3 on TVs or Disc readers.
