I discovered Net-Play and now I'm having a lot of fun with it but I don't know so many game to play on it.
Goof Troop is good experience on SNES, but I need other games recommendations you used to play on couch with your friends and family.

I used to play a lot of beat 'em ups with my brother when I was younger, especially arcade and Sega Genesis/Mega Drive games. Sometimes we tried a shoot 'em up, but we were pretty bad.

For beat 'em ups, you can't go wrong with classics such as Double Dragon, River City Ransom and Battletoads, but these are older and honestly I played more 16-bit and up.
The Streets of Rage series and Golden Axe I and II for Sega Genesis are great.
For SNES, we used to play Rushing Beat - especially the last one, which is pretty weird.
I liked Sengoku 3 for arcade, and it's a very pretty game, but the hitboxes aren't super accurate.
Try the obvious choice Cadillacs and Dinosaurs, Dungeons and Dragons: Tower of Doom and its sequel Shadows over Mystara, Knights of the Round, Battle Circuit, and maybe Alien vs Predator.
I could even talk about 'deep cuts' such as Gaia Crusaders, but I'd stay here forever :P

For SNES specifically? I always loved playing Wild Guns, Kirby Superstar and Donkey Kong Country with my brother.

My favorite hard co-op (as in, it’s designed with co-op in mind) game is probably ilomilo on the 360.

You can't go wrong with typical arcade fare of yesteryear. Others have already mentioned some greats. I'll add Bomberman (aka Dyna Blaster) and Pang (aka Buster Bros). The former is especially great if you have more people playing.

Brooo I played Cadillacs and Dinosaurs once with my father in the mall and forget everything about it. Thanks so much for this;

For SNES specifically?
Not necessarily. I said SNES cause its my vision of nostalgic and friendly games. Ilomilo looks great and there is a PC version, I'll try it someday.

defentially the "Pocky and Rocky" Games for the Super Nintendo and it's Recent Nintendo Switch Remake "Pocky and Rocky Reshrined"::agree

Some of the Super NIntendo "Super Bomberman" Games (Especially Super Bomberman's 1,3,4,and 5 have co-op gameplay in the one player story mode

The 2 Super Nintendo (Super Famicom) Sailor Moon Beat'em up games (Sailor Moon and Sailor Moon R), Run Saber, Super Double Dragon, Wild Guns,,Legend of the Mystical Ninja (AKA: Ganbare Goemon 1: The Rescue of Princess Yuki) and Super Ninja boy (the first installment of the Super Chinese World Series, which this hidden SNES gem from Culture Brain recently came out on the Nintendo Switch online)

and I also defentially highly Reccommend Magical Quest's two sequel games for the Super Nintendo "Magical Quest 2: The Gtreat Circus Mystery: Starring Mickey and Minnie" and "Magical Quest 3: Starring Mickey and Donald" which both play very similar to "World of Illussion: Starring Mickey and Donald"

If you're in the mood for something *newer*, I can't recommend the Earth Defense Force series enough. EDF 2017 on 360, 4.1 and 5 on PS4 and EDF 6 on PS5 are some of my favorite couch co-op experiences, bar none. Use absurdly powerful weapon to level cities while you fight off hoards of 1950's B Sci-Fi movie styled monsters (Mostly giant bugs, UFOs and robots). Most of the games are on PC too, but the Local co-op is mostly on consoles. The spin-off games World Brothers 1 and 2 and Iron Rain are also a blast with a friend.

very good picks. I noticed you left out Golden Axe's 3rd installment. gaming 'zines at the time panned it cuz of the plainer graphics n lame magic spell FX. well there's definitely a modicum of truth to both criticisms - however, the combat is superior. you can block. you can low-attack. you can do a special move to hit behind you (costs no life but is not invincible). in addition to this, the game is non-linear n you can pick alternate paths through the game. n 4 selectable chars with an unlockable 5th one - that play a bit more unique from each other whereas in Golden Axe 1 & 2, the 3 chars were not worlds away in how they played to say the least other than their magic prowess.

Streets of Rage 3 was also bein slammed at the time for Yuzo's experimental approach to the SoR/BK3 sdtrk. I remember as a teen being infuriated somewhat by their blatant tastelessness. closed-minded BS... but to each their own.

overall, file-index this post under as a 'jus sayin' xD

here's my picks: Super Double Dragon, Final Fight 3, Turtles in Time, Batman Returns, Contra III: The Alien Wars, Zombies Ate My Neighbors, Sunset Riders, Super Smash TV, [SNES],

TMNT II & III, Mighty Final Fight, Contra. Super C, Bad Dudes, OG Mario Bros, (not Super Mario), Urban Champion, Yie Ar Kung Fu, Karate Champ, X-Men (<--bwahaha kidding on the last one) [NES].

Ninja Gaiden,, Final Fight MD, Hyperstone Heist (meh), Contra: Hard Corps, Gunstar Heroes, Captain America & the Avengers, Two Crude Dudes, (hehe), Joe & Mac, Growl (c'mawn brvh it's the *day they freed the animuLz!!*), Altered Beast, Alien Storm, Spidey & Venom: Maximum Carnage & Separation Anxiety (just give em a shot they're not too shabby IMO) Bonanza Bros., Kabuki Fighter, DJ Boy (played this in the arcade too... strange n goofy lol), Ghostbusters, Rolling Thunder 2 & 3, Rainbow Islands, Ren & Stimpy's Invention, Snow Bros., Toejam & Earl & the sequel Panic on Funkotron, Forgotten Worlds, Gain Ground, Mercs, Viewpoint, X-Men (like with NES but this is a meh not a backfiring catastrophe of pure 8-bit horror) [Gen]

if a couple of these are actually single-player or they're more competitive than co-op I apologize.

n I can make such lists for other consoles if you name what you got or what you like to play on

Guardian Heroes on the Saturn, a Treasure Beat em up with multiple paths, endings and light Rpg mechanics, similar to the already mentioned Dungeon and Dragons arcade games.

Well in PS2 you have the MK games like Shaolin monks but also more broken stuff like Armageddon
1000303659.jpg

It also has a kart mode called Motor Kombat and is really fun.
The Contra games are also great for coop specially 3 and Hard corps, and there's some diablo like games on PS2 that are really fun in both coop and single player, for example Marvel Ultimate alliance 1. There's also obscure 1, great survival horror than can be played with a friend.

NOTHING Can go wrong with Metal Slug (Any of them) and a second person, especially if you have the anthology to keep your loose shange safe, i loved these with my siblings and mom every Summer Vacation start

^^ this

I have every Metal Slug n every spinoff n even Metal Slug 4 isn't that bad at all just not tbat memorable n was understandable for the dire/crisis circumstances that SNK-Playmore were under to get the ball rolling again with SNK franchises. Metal Slug may not have deviated like Contra with radical (n sometimes regrettable) design choices but its consistency is demigodly nonetheless n has a comedic slant to its games that seem to emphasize 'fun' without caveats in its mechanics, aesthetics, or execution of sublime ideas

My typical selections for coop:
SNES: Zombies Ate My Neighbors, Super Bomberman 5
PS1: Legend of Mana, Diablo, Bomberman Party Collection, Buster Bros
PS2: Burnout 3, Tony Hawk 3, Baldur's Gate: DA
PC: Serious Sam Series, Metal Slug
