This was a thread I discussed the other day with Bjork, and we agreed it would make a good thread. So, have at it! Post cool Dreamcast systems, accessories, and controllers! As long as it’s Dreamcast, it’s more than welcome!
Divers 2000 Dreamcast Console
I’m taking the opportunity before anybody else to talk about the Divers console. A Dreamcast with a monitor built in, that’s built to resemble Sonic (blue, curve on the back for the quills, and the green antenna to represent the eyes), it’s no doubt that it’s a whole beast of a system. The disc drive is up at the top, and there’s a series of lights on the side that pulsate in time to the audio.
Here’s an Adam Koralik video showing it off in full detail:
The video might fool you into thinking this is an achievable find, but in reality it’s the ultimate Dreamcast white whale. It’s not one of a kind, but it’s the most expensive version of the console ever made. Adam only has it because he’s a total collector freak who’s been involved in the Dreamcast scene since its inception, with a complete Dreamcast collection for all territories and a complete collection of physically released homebrew.
Trust me. There are other Dreamcasts that are more findable, affordable, and cool. But I wanted to get this one out of the way because it’s often the one people gush about the most. I have to agree: it’s pretty cool, but I think you’d get a similar effect to this system as you would if you hooked up a normal Dreamcast to a blue iMac from the time period or something.
