The Comic Adventures of Boots
I got the Comic Adventures of Boots book from a library a few years ago, and so I thought about making this article about it.
(When it was made and who it was made by)
Comic Adventures of Boots was made by Satoshi Kitamura in 2011. This book is a part of a series of books, Cat is sleepy, me and my cat, bath time boots, and a friend for boots. (I think there might be more but I haven't done all too much research on that since I've only read this book.)
(What the book is about)
It's about a yellow cat going on adventures in the neighborhood, hanging out with cats, and trying to swim.
(Characters)
Cats;
A bunch of cats that interact with boots throughout the book.
Boots;
The main cat that the book revolves around, he's a persistent yellow cat that loves sleeping and can't swim.
Quark;
A goose that tries to teach Boots how to swim; the goose doesn't like Boots at all.
(Story)
Operation Fish Biscuit;
Boots wants to sleep on a wall but there's no space because all of the other cats are sleeping on the wall. So Boots walks up onto a ledge that is close to the wall and he puts fish biscuits on the ledge, and the other cats notice so they climb up the wall. But then all the cats fall off of the wall. And so Boots get the wall all to himself until the other cats chase a cat that stole all the fish biscuits causing Boots to be ran over by the other cats.
Pleased to meet you, Madam Quark;
Boots is confused as to what Madam Quark is and so he tries to chase her causing him to fall into the lake, and so Quark helps Boots out of the lake and tries to teach him how to swim. And then Boots realizes that Quark is a bird so he asks if she can teach him how to fly. So she tries, and boots falls into some plants.
Boots then tries to repay Quark by teaching her how to fall asleep on the wall. (Mission failed successfully.)
Let's play a guessing game;
The cats are bored and so they decide to play charades.
And then a red cat uses a gray cat's tail as a microphone and starts singing for some reason.
Boots then joins in the game of charades and decided to bring all the cats inside his house, and he then drowns in the bathtub which results with the other cats having to get him out of the bathtub.
(My opinion on this book)
It's a great book, it's unique and has an interesting story. Plus the contrast between Quark and Boots is fun. And all the chaos that Boots causes is funny.

So, yeah, I love the Comic Adventures of Boots, it's one of the first Japanese comics I ever read, and it might just be
one of my favorite Japanese comics I've ever read.
