Collectathon and arbitrary completion checklist games

What's your favorite game in which you have a well-defined list and count of limited-but-not-unique items and completion marks to collect in order to progress through and/or eventually 100% it? What qualities make for a good game within these genres?

Just on what I have installed now it's Destroy All Humans Remake, Re-Core and Tokyo Xanadu.

The perfect balance for 100%ing is when the length & challenges are reasonable. So yeah, the classics set a pretty good standard. But jump to the 6th gen & holy! So much more variety!

Some personal favorite are the Ratchet & Clanks, Blinx & Vex. Honorable mentions to Dr.Muto.

The Metroid Primes & later Castlevanias are also fun for logging & finding everything... stuff like that. Honestly, I can never get tired of the metroidvania formula lol.

The simpler, the better. If you can 100% a game by going down the gamefaqs cheat section like a checklist, then the game is gold.
