Just make a new one with new upcoming actors or watch the originals.
casting & shooting a new movie requires money (and talent), people watching the old movies doesnt make this studio money
doing AI necromancy to the tortured spirit of bruce lee requires very little skill & allows you to keep most of that $13.9 million in investor money

Hmm I'm not sure what to think about this on the one hand there are very good actors with very good films but yes, isn't it getting too much with AI? But well we will see !
Why remakes? Why not just make up a new Kung Fu series that combines the likenesses of all of them? Better yet, make a new Saturday morning cartoon! Have them team up! Forget the AI altogether!

Im pretty open to the idea of AI assisted art but I really hate when they use AI and CGI to bring back actors that are dead it feels disrespectful and gross. it also kinda ruins the fun of chines martial arts films back in the day they just kinda winged it they didn't have to deal with any safety shit they just showed up on set and did cool stunts it feels very raw you cant really achieve that nowadays especially with AI

I genuinely believe the intent is to use AI to immortalize actors in their prime, so that even after they pass away, studios—and the deceased actor's estate—can still make money off of them. Now, whether the technology is good enough is another discussion entirely.

As soon as I saw the title, my first thought was 'They're bringing back Bruce Lee from the dead!' but as soon as read the article it seems China had an advanced AI technology that is ready to supersede US's AI tech, and they can remake martial arts films in its limited ability, by AI upscaling or something. I'd be rather watching the original (I grew up on watching them) rather than wait for the AI remakes.

I only hope that these "remakes" have better direction than the originals. I am particularly referring to the Bruce Lee films.
However, I too find it disrespectful to use A.I. to bring deceased artists back to life.
