So, we have two "Casper" games in the SNES/SFC. Both have Natsume involved in it, but as developer of one (this one) and publisher of the other, developed by Absolute and released in the west. "I am abandoning this project because the intro contains compressed text and a few cutscenes use a sprite-based font which I cannot hack. As is, all in-game dialogue is translated and inserted, so I consider the game very playable, even if incomplete." I loved the PS1 game, me and my brother used to rent it all the time from Blockbuster but never did manage to complete it. Thinking about it now, we really should have bought a copy instead of renting it so many times haha.

Those 2 games have the same title but are completely different games. Very strange! The japanese one is looking better to me. Thanks for sharing though.

i thought someone actually went back and released a finished version of this one, i remembered enjoying this Casper and wishing we got this in the west instead of that crappy Clock Tower knock-off we got instead.

Very curious the Japanese version of Casper because it looks a lot like Haunting starring Polterguy (1993) and that is reflected in the isometric perspective.

according to MobyGames the western version was done by Absolute Entertainment, inc. and published by Natsume

I was really surprised to find out that despite this version sharing the same box art as the western release and the fact that Natsume was involved with both games, they're actually different from one another.

Yeah. I need to confirm it yet, because I've seen Nihon Soft System being mentioned as well.... maybe there's a confusion about Natsume and this version, so I'll do some research when I find more time and patience.
