Can't edit articles after posting.

Seems like I had 30000 characters for my article and I didn't use them all, but when I go to edit after posting it claims I went over by 9000 characters. I need a hero to save me from the embarrassment of my typos.

the site should let you know if you misspelt a word. you could always copy your text into a program like word or something similar to check for typos if need be.
how many characters are you limited to?
