I feel like I've played the ones that get recommended the most that interest me, what can you suggest outside of them?

Recommend any 90s arcade beat em ups that you think are decent. They're short games after all, so I'm looking for quantity here.

I don't often see people mention Sengoku 3 - super in-depth combat system for the time, great visuals, definitely underappreciated these days.

Aside from that... I'm a pretty basic bitch when it comes to Beat 'em Ups. Night Slashers, Alien vs. Predator, Knights of the Round, Punisher, maybe Armored Warriors - I mostly play that same old famous stuff.

-Metamorphic Force (Arcade)
-Battletoads (Arcade)
-Rastan 3 :Warrior blade (Arcade)
-Violent Storm (Arcade)
-Ninja baseball Batman (Arcade)
-Panzer Bandit (Ps1)
-Mutation Nation (Arcade/Neo Geo)
-Sengoku 1 - 3 (Arcade/Neo Geo)
-Nightslashers (Arcade)
-Ninja Warriors again (Snes/PC)
-Double Dragon Returns (Snes) ( More or less known )

Lesser known and arcade specifically:
Captain Commando (Arcade) (play as the ninja)
Combatribes (Snes version though, the arcade version is not balanced well)
Metamorphic Force (Arcade)
Vendetta (Arcade) - this is very overlooked. Konami, 4-player, lots of weapons, can hit downed enemies

I can recommend more for consoles as well.

The only lesser known 90s beat 'em ups that I know of are the Crime Fighters trilogy (CF1, Vendetta, and Violent Storm) and those are usually recommended for people new to the genre.

Literal Rocking Music, unique combos for a simple two button beat em up and all the uncensored ketchup of the more liberal 90's, if you don't want to bother trying to play the Arcade one (As someone that has lots of games in his MAME i don't reccomend it) there is a Console Remake

(TRANSLATION: Ghost Chaser Densei) The game has a Fighting game-esque combo system that makes the game more complex than just "Wait for an opening and mash A until enemy is knocked out, Rinse and Repeat" Totally worth your time, oh, and there is a English Patch if you desire to know the story

The entire Rushing Beat trilogy is a blast, basically Irem's response to Streets of Rage, the first one is mid but not unplayable, is the sequels where the game has its spark, that say PLAY THEIR ORIGINAL JAPANESE VERSIONS since the USA versions gut parts of the games

And lastly Sonic Blast Man 2, the first one, pass, its a drag to play with the only novelty being having a minigame based on the Arcade game the main character is based on, the second one is where the meat lies, solid gameplay with interesting combos, shorter stages with far more varied meanie roster, a nice time killer

Never played the first game, but I guess its 2nd game is more popular for "reasons". It was fun and all but the homosexual enemy type is why it was a popular funny meme game lol. And then 3rd game looks like my tshirts my mamma over-washed lolol.

Edit: Damn the video of the "homosexual enemy type" in 2nd game is so censored cannot directly and easily watch it but this link may work: Link
