Can Pokémon The Pit run on an EverDrive GBA X5?

Forgive what may seem like an obvious/stupid question to throw out to y’all but the ReadMe didn’t really cover this specific scenario & assumes that I’m running an emulator & well, I can’t seem to find anything elsewhere on line that can help answer this issue for me.

I’d imagine that the supporting documentation only covering emulation setups in & of itself is answer enough, but hey, I just said what the hell—why not reach out to the fine folks of the RGT community & see if there IS a way to run this hack on the Flashcart that I’m just not doing correctly.

The game consistently crashes around 5-8 seconds into boot up, no matter how quick I am with picking my options. Is there a setting I should have enabled on the X5 or extra patchwork available to operated the ROM hack through this method at all?
