I'm kinda lost, how should I proceed with painting this one? I'm not very good at this stage lol

So cool! Hear me out, I need to finish something first but I promise i'll be back to try and help you with this one.

Unironically painting was the hardest part for me to learn in digital art.

-There is only 2 shades of color on her hair.
Try using the 3 color method. Light, medium and Dark
This can be applied to her skin, clothes etc.
-Not enough shading on certain points like under her neck, her arms etc.
-Where is the light source coming from? Pinpoint the light source and use that as a compass to find where too shade. Is it behind her? Is it exclusively on her card? How about on top?
When coloring always take a small break and look at it from a distance. That way you can see where you are and how to fix areas that need attention.
-Look at the reference can help guide you on what colors you need

This looks really good so far! What I’d start next is adding shading to the figure herself, mainly working on where the light source is coming from (which seems to be her hair) and placing shadows accordingly!

I'm sure this is redundant and I'm not an artist, so forgive my lowly peasant advice but if you are working with layers, make sure to use them. Editing non destructively will give you a lot of peace of mind.

I spent the whole afternoon messing around with layers and effects lol

I'm not the greatest at digital painting but using layers and different kinds of blending helps a lot. I found the biggest thing though is looking at other people's artwork that have done something similar to what I want to do and trying to figure out what colours they used and how they used them and seeing if I can sort of emulate it.
