So, in this amazing future where we somehow get a Saturn Mini console, make a list of games that balances both what you think absolutely WOULD be included and which games you WANT to be included. Should be about 30 games and ideally is a mixture of genres and release dates.

(I don’t know the original source of the image, but it’s not from me.)

My personal list:
Virtua Fighter
Virtua Fighter 2
Fighters Megamix
Panzer Dragoon
Panzer Dragoon Saga
Nights into Dreams
Burning Rangers
Shining Force 3
Daytona USA
SEGA Rally Championship
Bug
Bug Too!!
Clockwork Knight 2
Astal
Baku Baku Animal
Sonic R
Sonic 3D Blast
Galactic Attack/Layer Section
Dragon Force
Guardian Heroes
Resident Evil
Street Fighter Alpha 2 Gold
X-Men VS Street Fighter
Princess Crown (possible translation?)
Radiant Silvergun

I’ll be honest, I can’t see many more games they’d actually realistically put on a machine like this. Assuming they’re taking a slightly inaccurate emulation solution, my big thing is the sheer number of Japanese games that I don’t know if they’d take the plunge to put in here. The list changes massively under the hypothetical that this product becomes JP region exclusive, but even still. Also, some games like the Virtua Cop and House of the Dead games are missing due to needing a gun peripheral that wouldn’t be provided.

All the Panzer Dragoon´s
Sonic R
Virtua Fighter 2
The House of the Dead and Virtua Cop (both including the light gun)
Street Fighter Alpha 2
Burning Rangers
Nights into Dreams
Guardian Heroes
Astal
Grandia (maybe using the PS1 translation)
Lunar: The Silver Star (the same as above)
Bulk Slash (this one kinda hard for being a Saturn and Japan exclusive)
Sega Rally Championship
Daytona USA
Deep Fear
Clockwork Knight

I also have some ideas for a Dreamcast mini.

Sega Lord X made a video about this topic about three years ago. He decided to limit his list to twenty games that could theoretically fit into a retail version.
That may or may not be the inspiration for me making this thread👀

(I was watching a bunch of him this week. My number one source for finding things out about the Saturn, frankly. He’s an invaluable English language resource for the system’s history and place in the industry.)

I forgot Deep Fear. That should be on there alongside the Resi 1 port. Having a double survival horror goodness might be amazing for genre fans (who also never get good treatment because their games never get rereleased)

Saturn Bomberman should definitely be included. Perhaps the best in the series, and one of the better multiplayer games on the system.

It absolutely needs to contain all three Shining Force 3 Scenarios, for one. Also all Capcom fighters for the system with RAM Cart support enabled by default. I dare say the Sakura Wars games need to be there too.

And that’s where I get into the “it could be a JP exclusive item” thing. I agree 10000% that Sakura Wars, the whole series, should be there. It’s Sakura Wars. It’s synonymous with Saturn. The issue is that, on a consumer device, you’d need to translate them if you want to release this thing stateside, and I realistically don’t think they’d do that.

I don’t think they’d release a Saturn Mini at all frankly, but the point is more that I think it’s important to the system but has reasons it could be excluded even if they aren’t fair.
