This man and Lee Jackson became part of some of the most influential games of all time, be it Doom, Duke Nukem, Wolf3D, and many more, this man made tracks that are remembered fondly to this day, Message for the Archvile being one of my favorite tracks from Doom 2:
Rest in Peace Bobby Prince...

Also, remember that if you think you're a bad person, these assholes exists:
A legend died and they can't even bring themselves to show some respect.

@Michael Frank
Very sad indeed. I hate that the man passed away. As stated, he did a lot of badass music for classic games and equally badass ones. But he will always be remembered because of this. Condolences to his family.

As for 4chan, well, that's just how 4chan is. In their own deranged way, this is their way of paying respects to him. You have to remember, 4chan is a forum of edgelords who are stuck in late 90's to early 2000s cringiness.

I know I used to be one of them myself, a lifetime ago.

Again, condolences to Bobby Prince's family. I don't know what, if anything, is after this life, but I hope he finds peace and happiness in it.

Imagine saying that someone plagiarized some songs made by bands to compose video game ost's, because you know, some notes are in almost exact order, then i remember that even the beach boys and some legit honest to god bands did that always, because as a music teacher once told me:
"some riffs are too good to be left to rot"
Also, the beach boys example:
You hear the first notes? That's Chuck Berry's "Jhonny B Goode" intro, note by note, and nobody cared, because you know, IT SLAPS. Plagiarism can only be applied if you literally cut almost the whole song, not just some notes, and even then, if you alter the tempo or a note, the congrats, that's not applicable to plagiarism anymore.
Also, another banger from Duke3D:

I didn't even know this man existed before.
But Rest in peace, I hope he lived the best life possible ::heart

Responsible for some of the sickest MIDI's known to man. Crazy to think how many hours I've listened to this guy's work over the years.

Shout-out to his work on DUKE3D with Lee Jackson. If I shared all my faves from the DOOM OST's I'd be here all day xD

The Doom ost got inducted into the Library of Congress, and he lived to see it happening:

Dude's tracks made an impact in the music community like you wouldn't believe, the reason why people make MIDI's rendition or original tracks these days is because he and Lee Jackson where the equivalent of Black Sabbath in the MIDI department.
"Taking advantage of his knowledge of MIDI, Prince even worked to ensure that the sound effects he created could cut through the music by assigning them to different MIDI frequencies."
- The Library of Congress describing how our mad lad made that sick bass

Wait... WHAT??
I only knew about the Minecraft ost being archived in the Library of Congress, never knew Doom got included, which saying that out loud... It isn't really that surprising lmao!

Imagine being such a spineless coward that you'd wait until the literal second someone dies to talk shit about them.

Incredible how MIDI files became their own thing/culture due to the amount of love people put into their development. Also crazy how those things go unnoticed most of the time!? Yeah. 4chan was for a long time a good hiding spot, I think their involvement in GG and 2014 political divide alongside the way in which the media tries to portray alternative mediums of communication as the enemy to democracy did not help. Few people will have a critical eye to those things because they happened so long ago.

4chan was very vibrant community in 2003-2012. Surprisingly it was a very good hiding spot for niche people. Anime, videogames, cosplay and manga were seen as weird and depraved at that time, no one would have the courage to say they liked those things out loud for everyone to hear. Now it is a badge of honor and something people do to "belong" or seen as normal, these people are ungrateful towards underground cultures like 4chan.

Damn, I rambled on this one... maybe I'm trying to use the death of the guy to remind others of something that has died too. Well... time goes on. RIP.

That's 4chan for you, they're not edgy, because that would imply they at least have something cool going on for them, they're just jerks.
