VITA Best way to get ROMs onto a Vita?

I’ve been wanting to make my Vita an emulation handheld for PC-Engine games. The issue? I can’t imagine how to get ROMs onto the system without buying some kind of adapter. Is there a way to do it another way? If not, what adapter would you recommend?

I use VitaShell. Has both USB and FTP transfer options.

Yeah just load them through VitaShell via USB.
Keep in mind that you have to hack it. I used this guide a hundred years ago and it worked flawlessly:

If you're using an SD card adapter and SD2Vita (which you should, since the Vita's memory is grossly overpriced for what you got), you can just pop the SD card out and copy the files over using an USB adapter. I find it's much faster than using FTP since I find the vita's wifi card is weak.
