Best Rune Factory Game ?

Wich is the Best Rune Factory Game in your Opinion i am personally torn to chose Between Rune Factory 3 and 4

Well I suppose I chose Rune Factory 4 for Clorica

I've only played the first three(ds ones), of those I'm torn between the second and the third. The second has better characters and world building, while the third excels in gameplay, but the characters end to much leaned into the quirkiness of their personalities.

I also like 3 and 4 the most but I have to give it to 4.
I like the characters more and it has better gameplay.

i like 3 the best, i think if anyone votes tides of destiny they should be thrown out of a window.

I started with 4 and enjoyed it. I was disappointed with the lag in 5 on the switch (hoping that is fixed playing on Switch 2). I recently tried the Tides of Destiny for PS3. It is weird and could have been its own game not in the Rune Factory world.

For me ALL of them.. I love 3 and 4 the most but I love all of them YES even 5 and frontier and Oceans. And I own ever one of them.

Favorite charters Raven, Daria and Pia from 3 and Clorica and Forte from 4


Rune factory and monster hunter are top game series of all time

I wish they released 1 and 2 + Frontier and Oceans on PC and PS5 and so on like so they are not stuck on Wii and PS3 and ds.

Frontier. I think it was perfect in customization of your house, farming (still salty about Tides of Destiny), monster taming/production and just general 3D design jump out of the DS. It also was starting ground for more proper dates and festival interactions the later titles would do better on. Just Idea Factory really can't do dungeon or combat well in any title, clunky in the beginning and cheese down mid smithing level so it was fine for the most part in Frontier (more stable than Tides). I would have liked a new game, with new characters and love interests in both genders instead of leading from the first game but I'm still very happy with Frontier as it is. Oh I guess I wasn't a fan the rune system lore wise with interaction but it made for easy days of raining and fishing.

Rune Factory 3, that shit is addictive like crack, im currently farming the rest of the blacksmith, and im like a mega billonaire already, thank to catching so many fishes and cooking them.

Frontier is my favorite.

I think on a technical level that Frontier is the absolute best. It's still king in terms of gameplay and features and things you do (that new one coming up will probably finally beat it).

But also 3 and 4 have the best cast with the most amusing dialogue. I actually think Frontier's is also really good (even though most of them are repeats from RF1), but 3 and 4 have so much for the characters to do and say that it takes like a full play through with the main story before you start seeing any repeats.

It's very tough. I'm gonna go with Rune Factory 4 because it also gives you so much time and energy to work with for each in-game day.

Both 3 and 4 are great. Happy there's still people who like RF.
