PC Best PC-98 emulator?

This is pretty much the guide to getting started with PC-98

I use the Neko Project II Kai core on Retrobat. So far everything worked great with little hassle.

Yeah, it works on RetroArch too.
Savestates works greatly using it... it's my favorite way of playing PC98 games.
However, at least on RetroArch, i couldn't make rapid-fire to work...
Rapid-fire is not necessary on most Touhou games though... only Touhou 3 needs it.

Edit:
I'm using keyboard by the way, not any joystick.
Rapid-fire on joystick should probably work correctly.

Have you tried messing with these settings?

If that doesn't work then maybe mapping your keyboard to a controller with a program like Xpadder will do the trick.

I just use my keyboard to play PC-98 games

I did try to use that option last night. But it didn't work for my PS4 controller.

I don't have any controller myself, so i can't test it...
But i heard that the newer controllers such as PS4 might not be supported by older programs...

If every in-app option failed, you can use programs to create compatibility layer for your controller, or remap them to keyboard.

I have read some info about these apps, but haven't tested them myself:

• DS4Windows
  Seems to be the most modern tool for this purpose...
  Open-source, works on Win10+
• JoyToKey
  Freeware, Works on Win7+
• AntiMicroX
  Open-source, Works on Windows and Linux.
