What are the BEST games (in your opinion) your console of choice has? You are limited to 5 games per console, as to really make you think about your line-up.

I was thinking about making multiple threads for each gaming system, but I realized that it's a tad impratical, so I'll reduce it to a single thread about your system of choice.

So for me, I'll pick the 3DS, since it's the console I cherish the most (at the moment) and I grew up with the DS family line, so here's my BEST of the BEST for the Nintendo 3DS:

Crash the huge adventure is my favorite GBA game
My favorite PSX game is actually Glover
Favorite NES game might be dragon quest 3
Favorite snes game is Rockman and forte
Favorite ps3 game is gta iv
Favorite ps4 game is probably dark souls 3
Favorite ps2 game is bully

almost like the game cube the Wii U had a lot of interesting and very out there games
id say game like bayaneta 1 and 2, smash bros, and but I never played them before but I will pirate...

Like I said, restricted to a single console, yes I know both Gen and GU released on the 3DS, but GU was Japan exclusive and I think that base Gen dosen't light a candle to 4U.

I don't like the whole HD releases of the Zelda games, since they are a tad weak conceptualy, but goddamn the HD release for Wind Waker is perfect, the game is gorgeous on the Wii U and they gave us the Fast Sail option, this remaster blew me away!

Obviously, I'm not including there the deluge of ports in which the Saturn version is clearly the superior choice when compared to its competition at the time not just in the case of fighting games, but many other cases. A few examples:

Ogre Battle, Tactics Ogre, Policenauts, Vandal Hearts, Grandia.

True, the PSP was an RPG powerhouse, and I confess that's what I love it for the most, but you made some cool picks here! I never played Wipeout and wonder how well it stacks up against F-Zero.

I always preferred the Wipeout games because the music is stellar, and i love the superfuture motif it has.
I am not knocking F-Zero at all however. I played the shit out of the original.

It's my understanding, too, that Wipeout crafts have onboard weapons or can collect them during the race. I'm sure it makes a great deal of difference.

That is very close to my list except I would find space for Metal Gear Solid and Vagrant Story.

Well, since this is in General Gaming and not General Retro....

A PS5 Top5! (Limited to games with a native PS5 version)

Overcooked! All You Can Eat - A combo of the series thus far that offers all the fun of managing a kitchen with friends and family -without- everyone having sharpened knives! (Usually, maybe pat them down before the game starts.)

Horizon: Forbidden West - Hunting robot dinosaurs is still a blast, and it looks and sounds as good as anything in video games. I was ultimately let down by the constraints of their open world design, but I can't pretend I didn't explore every inch of the bastard.

Wild Hearts - The most interesting competition to Monster Hunter yet made, adding rapid construction/crafting and free-form base camps to large hunting areas. It's a shame the performance is awful, I love so much about this game but I couldn't in good conscience recommend it.

Armored Core 6 - It took 26 years, but someone finally dethrone Mystical Ninja Starring Goemon as the best Giant Mecha Game. The balance of wild action and obsessive customization reaches down to the primal core of me.

Like A Dragon 8 - The story is awfully schizophrenic, jumping between the two protagonists; Kazuya's in particular is basically a retrospective on the entire series, and the two threads don't weave together neatly. The side-content is still unbeatable though, and the combat is one of the most enjoyable takes on turn-based RPG's to date.


(There's a lot of honorable mentions, like Unicorn Overlord or Gran Turismo 7, or especially Tetris Effect, but I wrote these as they came to me sooooo...)
