PS1 best most underrated most peak psx games?

Not underrated by any means but most peak ps1 game is definitely Crash 2 imo.
Most underrated-peak would be probably Ape Escape.

I wonder if they are still considered underrated these days.

As for peak, just play Xenogears.

Not underrated as a series but Final Fantasy 8 is underrated as hell. A lot of people like 7 and 9 but 8 is not that much talked about. It is my favorite FF game.

Peak? Like best of the best? Quite a lot of games honestly, but here's some:

Not underrated as a series but Final Fantasy 8 is underrated as hell. A lot of people like 7 and 9 but 8 is not that much talked about. It is my favorite FF game.

FF 8 is way better than 9. I found FF 9 to be boring with lame characters and I hated that Excalibur II crap. I also missed the aesthetics of 7 & 8 over the bland medieval setting of 9.
