for those unfamiliar a lot of musicians will have region exclusive bonus tracks this isn't an exclusively Japanese thing but they seem to do it the most in japan.
my favorite is Nice And Spicy on the Jamiroquai album Automaton

Japan gets these exclusives or bonuses to encourage the domestic market to buy domestic releases that cheaper imports (which they were cheaper in some cases at the time and region locking wasn't a thing) with cassettes and CDs (I think?) My fav came from an ad.

Tons of examples from Yakuza but this one stands out cuz it’s a boss theme

Subject to Change, for some unknowable reason, was ONLY in the Japanese release of the album. It makes for a far better finale to the album, as it brings back a refrain from the opener song, No Reason. It feels like a sequel to that song, which brings the album’s overall messages to a much stronger point. It even has a chorus that would later be reworked and reused in their most popular post split song, Underclass Hero.
