I will go against trend and actually mention an Indie game.
My pick is Haven:

Its a fun game with a great vibe and story.

Difficult to choose only one, and even choosing this one feel's a little weird, but I would have to say Dead Cells, I had a lot of fun with it in the Switch.

But my true choice would be Fatum Betula, I just don't think it's the best switch indie game (Since there's not much replay value for what you are paying for), but the bizarre and weird dreams and themes are cool as heck, it's on other platforms as well. (And for a specific dev to look out for, INTI Creates is really good...But they may not count as "indie")

I'm never sure what counts as Indie now, but if Into the Breach counts? Then it's Into the Breach.

Is House in Fata Morgana considered indie? Because if so then that.

Couldn't choose one but these are my favorites:

Anyone heard of Disjunction?

I re-downloaded it for my Switch, hopefully I will finish it this time.

Don't feel weird at all, it's what I was coming to say as well. Provided the player is into the genre, Dead Cells is incredibly well-made and just fun to sit down with for one run or for five hours.

If I can't pick that since it was already mentioned, I'll say Galacticon. It's styled like an old arcade game that blends visual elements that are reminiscent of other games (Joust, Defender, etc) and well-paced gameplay that has you rescuing different colored guys from these spaceships. It's simple but fun.

Or I might pick Satryn Deluxe, which is basically a take on Robotron but it feels less intense than that.

Dig Dog

I'm on the leader boards somewhere

There's plenty to choose from, but as far as picking one that hasn't been mentioned yet:

The soundtrack alone keeps this one permanently installed on my Switch. And the similarities to another similar, longtime favorite of mine - The Space Bar - keeps me coming back

I associate Shovel Knight: Specter of Torment with the Switch, as it was a launch title for the system. This is probably my favorite campaign out of the 4 that are playable via Shovel Knight: Treasure Trove.

I’d have to really deliberate over what the BEST is, but Spiritfarer did immediately come to mind

One step from Eden
Morbid the seven acolytes

I was wracking my brain last night trying to remember the name of this game. It was dricing me mad. I want to buy it if it goes on sale.
