Recommend me the best fishing and sports games you've got! I'm looking to build up the list of ones I'm planning on playing. No simulators please! I'm looking for stuff that's relatively casual and easy to play at the end of the day at work. Relatively arcadey. Stuff to chill me out when I'm stressed. Games like Webfishing, Mario Golf, stuff like that.

That reminds me, has anyone emulated and beaten Wii Fishing Resort successfully on a gamepad? I got a setup going for it once but what I set up was a truly awful control scheme and didn't have the patience with messing with it any longer. I'm not good at setting up Wiimote to gamepad inputs. If anyone can come up with a good, comfortable controls config for pad, I'd set forward a £10 bounty!

I recently picked up Fishing Star Word Tour on the Switch:

Its really fun and very arcade-y.

The fishing minigame in Dark Cloud 2/Chronicle is almost an entire game.
For the sports, I say the Inazuma Eleven games, they are football soccer RPG´s with an impressive story and character designs.

Not really a sports person but or baseball I like the MLB Power pros series, for golf I like Hot Shots Golf, and for football I like the old Tecmo Super Bowl series.

the obvious pick for fishing is SEGA Bass Fishing
EA Championship Bass and Big Bass Fishing are also good and fun games

as for sport well there is tons of options
my recommendations are:

Mario Sports Mix
Virtua Tennis
Inazuma Eleven
Punch Out Wii and Ready 2 Rumble Boxing (if you count boxing)
NBA 2K1/2k11
International Superstar Soccer 64 (also try the Ronaldo Nazario version lmao)
Fire Pro Wrestling (if you count Wrestling in your list as well)

- Ace Angler Fishing Spirits - Switch
With the OEM Fishing rod its a good fishing game with friends, kinda like the fishing minigame from the 3DS AR Games but more fleshed out and with huge array of fish, monsters and aliens?
- Monsters of the Deep Final Fantasy XV
A pretty cool game on its own, sadly its locked behind PS VR. Unless you have a PS4/5 with PS VR1 that is.
- Sega Marine Fishing
- Sega Bass Fishing 2
- Sega Bass Fishing Wii edition
People talk about Sega Bass Fishing, but no one knows that they made 3 more games after. Sega Marine Fishing has you tackling real strong fish and this time with different fish species. Sega Bass Fishing 2 is actually an arcade port of the same name! Sega Bass Fishing on the Wii has 7 more stages with new tackle to try. Sega Bass Fishing on the Wii shouldnt be missed.
- Super Black Bass SNES
- Super Black Bass 3D Nintendo 3DS
Super Black Bass is an old series dating back to the 80s, but the SNES and 3DS games are the best imo. Captures the feel of an amateur rising up and becoming the champion of Bass fishing.

- Cabela's Dangerous Hunts 2
Probably the greatest hunting game ever made, You fight off hordes of nature and mother nature wants you fucked and killed by any means necessary. Nothing life fighting off hordes of Grizzly bears and Hogs with just a hunting rifle and a 9mm pistol.

Fishing? The only game in the genre that ever grabbed me was Sega Bass Fishing.

I don't play many sports games but I've got a soft spot for tennis and golf. For tennis I'd recommend Virtua Tennis 1 on Dreamcast. The second one's got a little more depth but I like the first one for being more arcadey.
For golf the best experience I've had is Mario Golf World Tour on 3DS with the DLC. If you don't have the means to hack/emulate 3DS though Pangya Fantasy Golf for PSP is a very close second.
I also got extreme sports if you're into those. I'm a big fan of SSX Tricky and I remember having a real fun time playing Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 4.
