Hi, i am union, and i love fighting games, but i am unsure what to play, at least on my ps1 emulator.
So i ask ANYONE that comes across this forum to leave a suggestion for a game (or list of games) for me to play, or check out.
This not only benefits me, but you also, because i can suggest a game to you, to go and check out.
It can be good, or bad, or even buggy.

Hi, I love them too, you can try Tekken 3 as it's the most polished and fun.
Capcom made crap ton of fighting game ports to ps1 as well, like Street Fighter Alpha/EX, Darkstalkers, Marvel vs Capcom...

I definitely played tekken 3 before, and i love it too, but you should play, or at least check out capcom vs snk on ps1

True, though in my opinion CvS 2 improves upon the first, by A LOT. Bigger roster and better gameplay mechanics

There is also tekken 5 DR, and tekken 6 on psp, and they are amazing...
(unrelated, but wth, just wanted to mention...)

Best soundtrack in a ps1 fighting game?

The Tobal and Bushido Blade titles
I miss that era of Squaresoft
Bushido blade i have played a little bit of, and same is said about tobal, but rival schools is very cool, you should check it out

DOA1 is pretty fun to play, I'm more familiar with the Saturn version though.

Tekken and Bushido Blade both immediately come to mind. The PS1 had a ton of 2D fighters too, but many of them are better played elsewhere.

Go to your local highschool and just fight the students there.

uhhh, IDK about best but I think gundam battle assault 2 is worth an examination at least. It's very pretty, has great sound design and a pretty fun roster.
It also comes very close to being a completely broken piece of junk, so, y'know give and take

- Dead or Alive
- The King of Fighters 98: Dream Match Never Ends/The Slugfest
- The King of Fighters 99
- Real Bout Garou Densetsu Special: Dominated Mind/Real Bout Fatal Fury Special: Dominated Mind
- Soul Edge/Soul Blade
- Pocket Fighter
- Capcom vs SNK Pro
- X-Men: Children of The Atom
- Marvel vs Capcom: Clash of Super Heroes
- Tekken 3
- Ehrgeiz: God Bless The Ring
- Bushido Blade
- Tobal No. 2
- Battle Arena Toshinden 3
- Toshinden Subaru/Toshinden 4
- Bloody Roar II
- Shiritsu Justice Gakuen: Legion of Heroes/Rival Schools: United by Fate
- Psychic Force 2
- Gundam: The Battle Master 2
- Gundam Battle Assault 2

The best 3D fighters are Tekken 3, Tobal 2 (definitely try it if you only played the first one), Soul Edge (Soul Calibur prequel) and Bushido Blade 1 & 2. An overlooked runner-up is Goiken Muyou 2. The mechanics are most like Virtua Fighter 3, with similar moves, side-steps and ring outs. One difference is you can't finish the opponent unless you knock them down (ie a regular punch won't defeat them even if they're out of health). There's a delinquent boxer-type that's very technical and a yakuza with simple moves who dresses like Kazuma Kiryu.

Blood Roar 2 is decent too, extremely fluid but maybe a little cheap.

The final boss is the cops that show up. They have a special move called "shooting guns" that does 100% damage.

Kensei: Sacred Fist

Konami's idea of combining Tekken, Virtua Fighter and Dead or Alive. Gameplay has potential but there is a bit of slowdown.
Character designs and names are very bland though, which doesn't help make it memorable, but worth checking out.

Destrega
Samurai Shodown III, IV
Cyberbots
Rakugaki Showtime
The Last Blade
Slap Happy Rhythm Busters
Guilty Gear
The Unholy War
Evil Zone
Vs./Fighters' Impact
