It makes me mad when every 3D game with “cute or sexy lady” stuff made in Japan is clearly a man doing the motion capture rig and attempting to, in their and the director’s mind, to “act and move like a woman”. It’s really obvious with Sakura etc in Street Fighter IV and every other 3D model animation I can remember.

I don’t know if this game is part of the pattern.

Back in the day, lots of people sure played this with one hand. Great to see that there was voleyball games available
I dunno about that but back in the day I bought this and Virtua Striker 2002 for Sonic, Virtua Striker 2002 has a fully playable Sonic Team with Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Amy, and Dr. Eggman competing in soccer against real life players.

How this game managed to fall under my radar until this very moment is beyond me. Nevertheless, my curiosity DID spike (pun not intended) upon noticing that Sega's AM2 branch is listed as the game's developer; considering just how good their output was.
Good eye, AM2 is one of the best departments of SEGA from that era, after all they made imo the best 3D fighting game on the Saturn, Fighters MegaMix.
