Tomorrow a new remake from Konami is coming out, Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater. Are you ready to go back into the Jungle and fight against the Evil and against the Dangers of the Jungle? I wish you all a lot fun playing this game. There's already a lot of new things to discover!

I really enjoyed the original, but I've got mixed feeling about the remake.

I'm sure it's gonna look pretty and all but I just don't know if the experience is going to be fundamentally any different to the PS2 version that I've always had access to.

Yeah not paying 80 euro for a game I already own just for a facelift and maybe alternations.
IT´s just like I would not make 60 euro for a remaster that slaps HD texture on like a girls slaps on make up to look better.

I do like old games that gets a remake but the asking price companies have today. Man my hobby is slowly turning out to be a stupidly expensive hobby only the wealthy will afford.

i think remakes are doodoo by default so a remake will have to be very swag in order for me to be even slightly interested
and in many ways this really does seem to be only a visual upgrade
i am not hasing the interestburger in this remake

I'll act like that rubbish doesn't exist just like the rubbish NES and PSP games lol.

I only beat Metal Gear Solid for a friend I promised long ago.

I still need to beat the original Metal Gear, then 2, and Snakes Revenge before I can play any more of the series.

Though, I make an exception for the GBC and bootleg versions of MGS. ^^;

I've recently(ish) done a playthrough of the first Metal Gear on GOG, and I've gotta be honest, it's actually pretty playable, even by modern standards IMO. Outside of some of the more cryptic moments.

Well if you would prefer to play in timeline order you may start from MGS 3 then play Peace Walker -> MGS 5 -> Metal Gear 1 -> MG 2 -> MGS 1 -> MGS 2 -> MGS 4

Contrary to the general sentiment on this thread, I actually am pretty excited to play it, although I don't think I'll be able to do it until mid-September. So you can bet your beautiful smirk I will be back on Tselinoyarsk as soon as I can.

Catch a few monkeys for me ✌️

I would prefer they had taken more liberties with the source material. It may have pissed off Kojima diehards but the way I see it, Kojima himself would have made it way more compelling (and risky) than a UE5 overhaul. But it's a damned if you do damned if you don't situation so whatever.

Anyway, I might play it on sale when it's $30 or so.

At least for a series that has so much story focus I wish I played it in chronological order for the first time because first I started from MGS1 and honestly didn't get shit because the game assumes you played the games on MSX and then played in chronological order after MGS2 to make sense of the shit lol.

While the remake looks good, I'll probably wait for a sale. I'm honestly just glad they at least brought MGS 3 Master Collection to the PC. ::biggrin

All the more reason I should have played them before MGS.
It was because of my rapidly-decaying health that I decided to play MGS, to keep that promise I mentioned to a friend that I would eventually play through it; I did so in his honor, expecting my passing to come sooner.
Never would have thought I'd have lasted another 6 years.

The only money Konami will ever get from me at this point is PC port of MGS4. I won't pay for its remake or some shit, I want a decent port.
