Be careful with what you sell in King's field 2 (JP)

see that damn skull key? well, you can't have it unless you have the pirate key.
This is my first time playing king's field 2 (JP), and I sold the pirate's key thinking that I've opened all the posible treasures chests with it, but In some point I've got stuck, so I went to look for a guide, and there I've realized that I needed the pirate's key one more time to open a chest to have that key, so yeah, I've got softlocked. I couldn't buy the key again sadly, so I had to restart the game all over again.

btw, this game is freakin' awesome, I still love it and have lots of fun playing it, but this issue left a trauma in me, Probably I would never sell items again unless they look OBVIOUSLY SALABLE like diamonds and that stuff lol

Only played the first King's Field, but that one had some bullshit like this from what I remember, though not as bad. Kinda wish FromSoft would go back to making games like this again. As much as I like the Souls games, I'd kill for another King's Field or Shadow Tower style game from them.

That ALL UPPERCASE font reminds me a lot of "Lunar: The Silver Star" & "Lunar: Eternal Blue" on Sega CD.

I would say that was already very unusual for a Japanese console RPG at the time. But From was more inspired by hardcore Western computer RPGs so they didn't care about doing stuff like that.

I would say selling a key is a pretty obviously bad move, though.
