I'm not really sure there's much else for me to say about this, but i know this game has a rather big cult following so figured i should make a post about it.

Welp, I found something to occupy my time while this storm is going probably take my internet down for a good bit.

just checked out the decomp. it needs a version 1 copy of the original usa rom to run. the game looks fantastic in HD.
took a screenshot of the game.

and no, i didn't not plan on the image file having that number on it when i took this.

I'm gonna have to play this after how much I liked mario 64, perfect timing

Sweet! I can't wait to try it out

LET'S. FUCKING. GOOOOOOOOO!!!!

Finally, those useless cunts got it off of Linux, why they hell were they garden walling this for the past few years? And it's already compatible with Jiggies of Time, AND Nostalgia 64? NOICE.

Can't wait till Tooie gets it's due justice. Kurko is a lad, but the sheer potential being wasted on modding Kazooie and not Tooie is a travesty. Think about all the shit you have to work with in just the split pads alone! And grip grab for God's sake!

If it was exclusive to linux for a while, it was likely for tuning reasons, pcsx2 for a while was more advanced on linux as some of the files required recompiling on windows and the developer working on i think the plugin engine, was doing most of the work on linux.

TL;DR the reason was likely to ensure it wouldn't cause a problem on other operating systems, it's hard to explain exactly the issues that can pop up but it can cause wierd reactions in a os not designed for it.

Probably should feel lucky that they bothered to compile for Windows/Mac at all, huh?

Just put it to work, and it works about as well as one would expect (texture packs, Kurko mods and all), Thunderstore page isn't quite up yet so we'll just have to wait and see what kind of potential we can get out this.

Also, someone's gonna have to update the Progress Report...
