It was a LaserDisc attachment thing which had swappable bays for a Mega Drive, Mega CD, PC Engine, or PC Engine CD module. I'm not sure I realized they also developed games specifically for it.

I know Daphne is a fairly good LD emulator, one of the first if I'm not mistaken, and is pretty stable as I remember.
It's been forever since I used it, mind you, I just wanted to play Dragon's Lair after all and Space Ace.
I will look into Ares However, keep it on the back burner as it was, in case I ever get an itch for LD games again
