It's that time of the year to suffer through Geoff Keighley's 2 hours product placement extravaganza. I frankly don't care too much, I just put it on my TV on the background while I do something else. Not expecting anything other than some cringe moments. I fully expect Elden Ring DLC to win game of the year so Geoff can get into Miyazaki's panties.

A phrase I've never heard from another human being is "Can you believe who got snubbed at The Game Awards".

Actually, I've never spoken to anyone whose even watched it. I'm not convinced it's a real thing, are we sure the Game Awards aren't an internet rumor, like an advertiser friendly Slenderman?

I watch it, hoping for another Bill Clinton incident. Other than that, I don't get much enjoyment from watching it.

The government made it up to steal our attention and money. It’s a conspiracy.

Ngl, I'm probably not. Like before I watched TGA for mostly the game trailers, cause the awards themselves are basically more of a popularity contest than a celebration of games. But then I realized at that point I might as well just sleep and then read all of the announcements for new games/other stuff on some article.

Funnily enough this thread reminded me of this "games award" thing.

Sorry but i rather throw up and being depressed.

These awards suck so hard. Like when you watch the Oscars, they show a little clip of each nominee in a category so you get an idea of what each product accomplished. Here they can't be bothered to do that bare minimum. It is so low effort. I had no idea of what any of the VR games looked like, so why would I care?

Edit: A Spaniard won for the game "Neva". I want to try out "Gris" by the same dev studio, seems like an interesting game. Anyone tried it?

I don't have the patience to slog through the pointless fanfarre. I'll just look it up later.

I generally don't watch stuff like this. I usually just see the announcements after the fact.

I am pretty excited for a proper Okami sequel, even if it's not entered production yet. I am interested in what Capcom is gonna do with the new Onimusha game.

Neat that Ninja Gaiden is getting a new 2D game for the first time since, what the Game Boy?

They announced a new Okami game and a new Witcher game. That was the coolest part of it all. Mostly a waste of time.
