Thanks for the reply guys! I followed everyone in this thread who's active there. ^^

To answer some of you, I agree that achievements / trophies may hamper the enjoyment of all these games and things weren't like this before the PS3 / 360 gen. I use it mostly nowadays because I like to challenge myself (for good games I like, not any crap or else I don't waste my time playin them), find new awesome classic games I didn't know before and document what I completed / beaten, just like someone here said. So while I think achievements / trophies are NOT essential by any means, it actually adds an extra, and always optional, layer for the games. As long as you have fun and time to do it, nothing else matters.

no i don't, they aren't very good, they should have learned more from the XBOX360 era.

Just started a while back, wish I knew about it back when I started playing these older games but i'll keep up with what I got.

depends on the game from what i've seen. These things are all community generated so you have your mix of good and bad ones out there. Some games are basically nothing but progression, some are tryhard achievements, some are just bad, depends on the set

In general I prefer the basic system a lot more at least. Having unfinished, beated, completed and mastered games all organized in their own way makes a lot more sense than steam telling me I only have 5 perfect games and a 32% completion rate. Not every game has achievements, but I might have 100%ed them. Maybe I beat the story but didn't do any side content. Or psn and xbox just showing you trophies/achievements.
