I recall this game being a huge deal for a while, then I just... stopped hearing about it? Still, it was immensely fun and I distinctly recall my friend being extraordinarily pissed off because I'd play the whole match in reverse just to spite him, somehow winning in the process XD

Good times, man.

What about you? Ever played it?

I remember seeing the compilation of everyone doing a trick shots, this game definitely went quiet for awhile

It's still an awesome game though, it's also really well optimized

I was just about to post my thoughts this game in the 2015 thread! I got into Rocket League right when it came out – if I recall, it was PS+ exclusive for a while – and thought it was absolutely aces. I really like how simple and fast the gameplay is – unlike, say, an MMO, there's nothing you have to "keep track of" between matches, like stats or equipment or anything. You just get a cool car, have the ability to unlock cosmetics for it, and go to town!

Framing the entire thing as a sports game was smart, I think, because it really just put the emphasis on multiplayer fun. I haven't played the game in many, many years, but I think it might just have been my GOTY for 2015.

My schoolmates tried to make me play this but I didn't had a PC at that time and I don't like these types of service games but some collaborations have been very cool. Also Is this a future idea of an article about those matches? ?

Give it a try! Even playing with bots can be fun

I've played a lot sadly never got good.
It goes like this.
I play for a while rank up and then hit rank where people do amazing air dribbles, at that point I rank down.
I realize I must learn directional air roll to be able to continue enjoying the game, but no matter how much I practice my brain does not get it.

For the record it's this complicated

Got almost 200hs on steam ::eek
It was really fun but haven't played it since 2018 I think. I remember looking up guides on how to play but stopped playing before I got good.

I kind of liked it before it turned into a microtransaction fest.

I don't know about that though
When did you first play it?

Ugh! Screw whoever sent you those.

Getting overly mad over online gaming is one of my biggest pet peeves.
COD online in a nutshell:
I played the very first version, which was released in 2015, I believe. Later, they started adding microtransactions and stuff.
I see…it is what it is I guess

I used to, stopped because I ran out of storage. Then got more storage and... never came back, for no real reason.

Used to roleplay as the Portuguese branch of Atlus por some reason. Was fun.

I tried it only briefly, wrongfully believing there was a vehicular combat angle or mode. I deeply dislike soccer as a sport, so RL would never click with me despite its merits and popularity.

i'm not into pvp as a whole, i prefer coop stuff if i'm supposed to play with people (or mario kart/party and similar games)

Game's fun, but there is a serious grease problem with the publisher, which I used to be a fan of, and the head of said publisher, which I'm sure is furnishing your information to a 3rd party potentially foreign government and they also delisted Unreal.

Greasy Bastard.

I did play it once or twice. Enjoyed it. Forgot about it.

Same with Fortnite. I'm just not a multiplayer or service game player. Without a story I just never find a reason to go back consistently. There are games that I play just to relax, those are not competitive multiplayer ones.
