Anyone else find it insane that food with chemicals known to cause cancer and birth defects is allowed to be sold?

This is a warning on Walmart's Great Value Chocolate Chip Waffles:

Who would even buy this in the first place? Sadly, some people don't read the back of food packaging.

Well, there is a reason why you have to see and read the product apart from caution (Which in some products appears), Well for something you have to see and read the product apart from caution, Also read the list of ingredients of the product but the confusing thing is that you do not know which ingredients may be harmful or carcinogenic for consumption and sometimes confuse with the safe and suitable ingredients for consumption and also the nutritional facts if it is safe to consume the product or not and it can vary according to the appropriate portion. But, well.

You cant fool me. Ill eat the packaging around the waffles instead. Ill still get the same nutritional effects

I remember seeing a video of RFK JR. announcing that by 2027 putting carcinogens (The "Red 40, Yellow 5, Blue 1" things you see on most snacks in case you don't know) into food will be prohibited.

I personally doubt that this will happen (After all, we're the same country that was supposed to abandon the practice of changing clocks twice a year back in 2022). However, it would be nice to see companies prioritize food QUALITY over its shelf life.

I dont think US food and UK food are regulated the same a lot of stuff in US food is even banned from the UK and im not saying our snacks or chocolate are 100% in the healthy bracket either.

Alcohol and cigarettes are also allowed to be sold, so... ::cirnoshrug
I left my job due to the unethical practice of selling alcohol when i was suffering myself. Got early retirement at 34 i couldnt do it anymore and raise a smile while doing it

People are surprised that companies and government values money more than human life?

I mean take my country more and more regular soda has started to replace sugar with arteficlar sweetener. Take Pepsi for example you got Pepsi and Pepsi max. One of them should have normal sugar and one artificial sweeteners but today normal Pepsi today is just Pepsi max with out calling it max they started to use artificial sweeteners + little sugar to save money.

I hate this becuse 2 reason I wanna drink normal pepsi becuse 1. artificial sweeteners is worse for your health than sugar is. 2. artificial sweeteners makes everything takes SHIT.

But yeah more and more regular soda is becoming just like their Zero counter part just so companies can save money and not have any sugar.

Companies don´t give a fuck you get cancer and die as long as you keep giving them money when yoru alive.

"Also every human on the planet already have cancer in them it´s just active. So technically shit does not cause cancer it´s more that it can activate it."

USA have signed presidential decrees allowing pharmaceutical companies to do whatever they want without having to pay for the side effects their drugs cause in the population, two times in less than 80 years.

This is something trivial in comparison.

Hopefully he does. While food dyes are a good start, he needs to go further. We're unhealthy as we are for a reason. It's not some mystery, it's what we're consuming on a daily basis.
