I have found that you need to start up the system and then do a soft reset and it should boot up into Free McBoot as the Memcard Pro seems to take longer to boot up than the PS2 system. My slim has a busted power button and won't do a tap reset, which is probably the problem. Once you have it running go to OPL and adjust the settings to get the HDD/BDM to start up automatically as everything is set to off by default. Save the settings and you should be good. I am using a separate card for the images, but I also have a HDD full of games that I used to use with an OPL disc. Here's the link to the images that work for the MemCard Pro. I'm using the 128mb file. Put it in a"PS2" folder in the root of the card.
