Something that's an hour or two at most, replay value aside. Example: I bought Toree Saturn for 3€, pretty good game! I beat the main campaign in half an hour, but it took me a while to get the best ranks in all levels.

Play Limbo and Inside, both of which last 3 hours each and were designed by the same developers.

Good puzzle platformers if you enjoy that genre.

ICEY is technically quick? There’s some visual novel like games such as Subsurface Circular, and Quarantine Circular. Untitled Goose Game is a quick one too.

I heard from a friend who owns it that you can finish Little Dragons Café in a very short time... Maybe not under an hour, but it certainly ain't a commitment.

Yep, here are a few super short Switch games worth checking out:
  • Donut County
  • A Short Hike
  • Part Time UFO
  • Untitled Goose Game
  • Downwell
  • Superhot
  • Sayonara Wild Hearts
  • Florence
  • Minutes
  • Minit
  • Gris
  • What Comes After
  • Toree 3D
  • Katana ZERO (if you speed through)
  • Pikuniku
Most of these are under 2 hours for the main story, and some have great replay value too.

There's some pretty sweet games on the Switch from the systems first year that are over in a less than 3 hours if you're really good at games:

Mighty Gunvolt Burst
Double Dragon 4
Volgarr the Viking
Sine Mora Ex
Wonder Boy The Dragon's Trap
Ironcast

As an honorable mention, Tiny Barbarian DX is a little longer, but god it's fun!

The Switch has plenty of SHMUPs and assuming they all have a form of free play, they take less than 2 hours on average

There's a port of Impossible Mission, you can finish it in under an hour once you know what to do.

Radiant Silvergun, Ikaruga, Dodonpachi DaiOuJou, Resurrection, SaiDaiOuJou, Akai Katana, ESP Ra.De., Mushihime-Sama, Espgaluda and Deathsmiles I & II are there

Thanks for reminding me to play Inside! Limbo was great!

Try the more simpler roguelikes or puzzle games. Some of my favorites are Dicey Dungeons and the Picross series. Each run on the former usually last between 30-40 minutes and Picross is just a good way to kill time without really worrying about anything other than the puzzle you are solving.

Narita Boy is a short game with great 80s tunes and visuals, a memorable world with memorable characters, fun combat, and some of the best animation you'll ever see in an indie game.

Someone mentioned Volgarr the Viking, it's a great game but you will NOT beat it quickly. You may find yourself spending hours just trying to beat one level.

Streets of Red Devil's Dare Deluxe is a fun, Konami style, 2d beat 'em up that's about as long as an arcade beat 'em up should be.

Try the Voice of Cards games, I don't know exactly how long it took to finish them but they are like mini-rpgs. Fairly easy and not that long to play through. There's three games and you can play them in any order

New Super Lucky's Tale is a fairly short game if you just blitz through it. It's an excellent platformer.

Tales from Space Mutant Blobs Attack is a short, fun game

Guacamelee is a metroidvania game that isn't super long.

I must have been playing it wrong then :loldog

Downwell is, honestly, quite incredible. For something as simple as "going down a well", it has quite the depth and is very fun.

It is!

Fair. In that case, go with:
Double Dragon 4
Sine Mora Ex
Wonder Boy The Dragon's Trap
Ironcast

If you've already played the Toree games, then I got nothin' for ya ::cirnoshrug

all three Cat Quest games, can be done pretty fast if you don't care to 100% or play again by new game plus.
(there's new game plus, stronger enemies, higher level equipment, and Mew mode which is modifiers thrown in, LOTS of replay value, 2 and 3 are co-op)

Trine games 1,2,3 are pretty short i beat all three back to back in one day in co-op (faster WITH more players, even 2 players makes trine 1/2 a joke you can fly over everything in the game literally)

child of light, if you gun through it on normal, is pretty easy, wiiU version took me 6 hours to beat twice with new game plus (higher level enemies)

Fairune collection, 3 very short games (Zelda like, no attack button you just tackle enemies to damage, LOTS of puzzles, may need a guide)

Mario RPG is one of the SHORTEST RPGs out there, SNES version took me 9 hours to 100% everything in it, switch version has an easier mode

Momodora is 3 hours. NG+ is even shorter.
