The only one that i through was actually quite good was Resident Evil: Deadly Silence

Dementium: The Ward i played but in my opinion it was only ok.
Also curious about the 2D consoles. The only games i heard of in these consoles are a Clock Tower port on the original WonderSwan (that i have no faith in being any good) and the GBC Resident Evil Gaiden.

If you're looking just for handhelds consoles I don't know but the game cube have eternal darkness a great horror game. And for wiiU zombieU and RE revelations are good games.

For 2D games I can't remember if N made horror games for NES and SNES, I'm pretty sure GBA don't have horror games.

Yeah, you pretty much have the whole list, unless you can emulate home consoles on your device the list is pretty short.

as arklem said, the nanashi no geemu duology for nintendo DS. That game really blew my mind when I played it. Most of the time, videogames are experiences for me, so when I want to play a new game, I want to play something that isn't a copy-paste of another game, like cod games or smth. I've only played the first time, and MAN , what an experience. You can say that the controls aren't the best thing, but hey, i think that the atmosphere was really well achieved. I played it with headphones at night, and was awesome. The only REALLY bad thing that I have to say about the game is that if you're lefty like me, prepare to suffer :ROFLMAO: the game is played with the console rotated in like a book mode, but it's made for right-handed people. I still beat it and would play it again, but honestly that's the only reason I've didn't play the sequel yet (which, for the only litte that I played it, it's even better)

aaaaand I would like to say that the port of clock tower 1 for the wonderswan is an awesome port but It hasn't been translated to english yet iirc

A remake of the first Silent Hill game that is not exactly a "remake" but a spinoff at this point. The game has the purpose of playing with the player instead of player playing the game by analyzing your personality profile lol. How game will be depends on how you play so it will determine monster encounters, how violent they are and how willing they are to catch you or not. You can't use weapons so you gotta run or realize you can just walk lol. Game using basic psychology for whatever happens in the game and your choices changes the game, even how characters behaves and what they wear, therefore game has great replay value.

I grabbed this one a while back because I giggled at the name

LMAO i've just remembered that this game exists, so I guess kinda counts?
english of the dead, it's a port of typing of the dead but for learning english (?) I used to play this as a kid a LOT because it was just house of the dead 2 on the go. English isn't my main language lmao, but I had a lot of fun as a kid with this.

I completely forgot that this was on the psp, wonderful game, one of the most underrated and creative silent hill games, the system that looks at everything the player is doing to change the game is brilliant and i absolutely love the frozen landscape of it, definitely worth playing too

Nanashi no Game and Nanashi no Game: Me for the DS are both really good and very creative games in my opinion, if you haven't already i'd recommend giving them a try

Those look awesome. I'm definitely going to give them a shot.

The only game that came to mind that wasn't already mentioned was Spirit Camera for 3DS. It's a spin-off of Fatal Frame, but unfortunately not as good.
