Microsoft has been on a long road of slowly self-cannibalizing for months now, it started last year with it increasing game pass subscription prices and complicating the subscription model by splitting it into three vague tiers as opposed to the concise two tier system it had, forcing you to either constantly triple check what model you’re on or sucking it up and paying the full $19.99, it’s the typical anti consumer loophole.Hardware is supposed to increase in price long after it's discontinued by the manufacturer. Did someone forget to tell the current execs?
I will be another proud owner of a Series S in a few months, because right now I can buy it second hand for around 150€. It's a console I always wanted to have despite of not buying a thing digitally, only for emulation. As the console is right now unhackable, it will continue going down in price second hand while Microsoft will continue raising its new price, quite a paradox. As a proud Xbox Series S owner, nobody is buying this shit lmao.
